Spring Into Action Using This Week's Color Challenge
This week's Color Challenge has SPRING all over it! I adore these colors together and the team has put together truly remarkable samples, as per usual, and of course seeing the colors had me break into song which is also per usual. 😂
However, the song I broke out into was an Easter song, sung to the tune of 'Here Comes Santa Claus', so let's just gloss over that.
I won't keep you waiting to see this sweet color challenge any longer... See! Isn't she lovely! Now THAT'S a song I can get behind.
Before you grab supplies, I want to announce last weeks winner, and it's Cynthia Olheiser! Please email me at hello@mftstamps.com and you'll be $25 richer in craft bucks!
This week the girls very clearly understood the assignment, and nailed every bit of it, all in different ways.
Candice is clearly a long-lost-sister, because this card goes straight to my heart. That cosmo...the brick background...but the real stand out for me is the gold bracelet! I love unexpected touches like that. It just seems to elevate the look of any card.
Zoe's tea cups have given me a thirst for a nice cup of hot tea. And I've got a new tea I need to try out! I better get on that. Zoe chose the perfect background for her card; it looks like one of the tablecloths my Grandmother used to have. I also love how she pulled the color in on the tea cups using the small flowers of the stamp set. Adorable!!
I love how Jeanne created a drop shadow on her happy birthday sentiment by cutting one out in purple and the other on white paper. It adds the perfect subtle effect! I also love the sprigs of leaves atop the card. It adds both texture and whimsy.
OK: Sometimes too much of a good thing isn't so good, but in this case it's amazing!! I love how she used all of the cuties in Ocean Friends to make this darling background!. Swoon.
This card is GENIUS. And I don't say that lightly, and I've seen a LOT of cards in my day. The thought to incorporate the colors as ribbons as these cuties are crafting, and then to bend the sentiment so it fits perfectly on the bottom ribbon! This card may look simple, but it's anything but. I have a serious crush on this card...shhh...don't tell Martin.
Deborah is just gifted as a Jill-of-all-trades, and excels at literally everything. I love how she laid everything out in this colorful and very fun card. The colors are used in such a harmonious way and the card is perfectly cohesive. ❤️
