Create a Galaxy Background Featuring Ink Blending with Michelle Short

Galaxy backgrounds provide such a dramatic effect on your cards. Not only do they establish a sense of place, but they also cause whatever elements are placed on top to pop! Today's video from Michelle will help you understand how to create your own miniature galaxy on your next project, as well as learn how to create highlights on your foreground images that mimic the look of a light source positioned behind them.

Thank you for the short and precise video on how to make a galaxy card. I’ve done many cloud backgrounds, but I’ve been wanting to make a galaxy background and you did a great job of showing us how to do it and telling us what colors and supplies you used. This card is adorable!

Hi, MFTStamps and Michelle -
Lovely video – no worries about the adhesive. It’s tremendously helpful to viewers to see how professional crafters work through a glitch. Your card is beautiful, your coloring fabulous and I really appreciate learning how to make a nighttime sky / galaxy for a card background!
