Shakers Gonna Shake

Now that you have that song stuck in your head… 😉

Chances are that if you’ve perused Pinterest or browsed through crafty blogs as of late, you’ve seen your fair share of adorable shaker cards. From sequins and beads to stamped images and glitter to confetti and smaller die cuts — we’re adding elements of fun to our cards for a more interactive experience for the recipient. And let’s face it. We love making them, too!

If you’ve been meaning to give shaker cards a try but you didn’t know where to start, have we got an exciting week ahead for you! For the next five days we’ll be focusing on the art of shaker cards.

We’ve teamed up with the experts (our My Favorite Things Design Team and the MFT Challenge & Inspiration Team,) and by the end of the week, we hope that you’ll have gained the confidence that you need to make your very own shaker cards.

Our Shakers Gonna Shake (shake, shake, shake, shake) series will focus on the following lessons: shaker card basics, creating flat shaker cards, creating shaker cards with a frame, creating a shaker card with a word dies, and creating a peek-a-boo shaker card. And to sweeten the deal, there will be some fabulous prizes to be won each day to help you make your own fabulous shaker cards! So buckle up and settle in for awesome ideas you can implement today.
