Today's Craft - Holiday Cards

Mass-producing your Christmas cards is a pretty essential tactic when it comes to ticking items off your holiday crafting to-do list. Today, Michelle is sharing some fantastic techniques for making the most of your time while ensuring you still have tons of fun!

Whether you're creating dozens of the same design or doing a handful each of several different designs, her tips will come in handy. Here are some of the ideas we think are invaluable:

  • work assembly-line style, doing your stamping, coloring, die cutting, and assembly in batches
  • stick to a more limited color palette and work with a coloring medium you love and are comfortable with
  • dig into your patterned paper stash to create interesting backdrops for your scenes
  • maximize your supply usage with creative cutting
  • touch up over-heated embossing with a gel pen

What did we miss? Watch the video and let us know what ideas you'll be implementing. We'd love to hear your tips and tricks for mass-producing cards as well!

These were cute cards. I think it’s simple to make a couple of cards using the basic supplies I’ve gotten out for one, when I actually have time. Then have a couple spares and didn’t have to get all the supplies out again.

I love these cards! These tips are some of the things I do every year once I choose our main Christmas card design!

Adorable dinos. I have a grandson who would love any of these sweet cards ! The little sentiments work perfectly with them. Thanks.

Such cute cards and great for mass producing. I come from a large family so I do a lot of mass producing for holidays throughout the year. Generally I make 30-40 cards for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Valentine’s Day, etc. In fact this weekend I will be making my Halloween cards and next weekend I hope to make about 20 cards for Veterans’ Day. I’m not great at coloring so I tend to minimize coloring when mass producing. I save that for birthday cards through out the year. I enjoyed your video. Thanks for the tips!

I do not make a lot of cards for Christmas. I do love the simplicity of cards and these do look easy and cute.
