This Sketch Will Open Up the Window to Your Creativity
Hello, hello! Well, first up I owe you an apology. I've been so day-of-the-week challenged lately and realized this morning I hadn't posted our sketch! Good grief. I normally set an alarm to help me remember but this week turned it off because I was POSITIVE I'd remember on my own. However, I didn't remember, so here we are.

The sketch this week reminded me of a window, which then of course reminded me of a song because that's me, and listened to Waving Through a Window from the Dear Evan Hanson musical. That is SUCH an amazing show, and it's now been made into a movie, so I hope you'll check it out.
I've been kind of melancholy lately, and it's stormed every single day here, so the imagery of sitting on the inside and waving feels pretty apropos.
I don't stay there long however, because seeing what the Design Team has conjured up is always super inspiring and brings a big smile to my face.
Deborah constructed what has to be the cutest sleepover ever! Sigh. She can do no wrong in my book. I have to say that I so love our new Design Team. All MFT fans, and all heart, so when that's combined with talent it is a beautiful thing.
I don't know about you, but I loved sleepovers when I was young. My siblings were all much older than I am, and I wasn't very old when they moved out and started their lives, so I spent a lot of time alone. I'm sure at times I was lonely, but I also always found ways to entertain myself. And it's probably why I'm constantly making up little songs, or singing, or being silly in some fashion.
Candice's card is PRECIOUS! And I could go for any of those snacks right now. Any one of them. I can wait just in case you're on your way to the bakery...
Zoe's card is is crazy good! I love that she blended in some green areas which I'm guessing represents the ground. It breaks up the card in the perfect way and adds something interesting. I'm not an art expert in any way, but from what I understand, the best art keeps your eyes moving so that they don't settle on one particular thing. I may have bungled that up a bit, but you get the jist.
I know I say this every week, but definitely check out our Design Team because each has something special and unique to offer. And they are all really good and deserve some praise for all that hard work. Albeit hard work from the heart.
