This month, Sandy's making things personal. She's turned one of the new Birdie Brown Snow Buddies into a darling little Sandy, complete with her two best furry friends!

Hello coloristas! It’s Sandy Allnock, back with some fun coloring — a card with a self-portrait of sorts with me and my pups!

The cute Snow Buddies set has two pups, both of whom could have had my furbabies for models! Vienna, sitting up straight like a little lady, Giallo, ever the boy, rolling in snow. What fun! And the little girls in the set — one has a hat just like one of mine!

You don’t believe I have that hat or would wear it in public? Hmmm. Well, a few weeks ago I went out to paint with some friends, and it was a BRRRRR cold 34 degrees! Me, oh my! I only started getting serious about painting outside this spring, so I’m not exactly prepared. I tried looking for my other winter gloves and hats, but…I could only find this one, so that’s what I took. LOL!

But I look just like the little girl in the stamp set!

Okay, enough of that silliness — let’s get to making a card, shall we?

I used a lot of Copic colors! I did try to balance it out a bit though, the snowman wore the same colors as Giallo and Vienna, plus some yellow. Because, well, what card of mine has no yellow?

I used both a white colored pencil AND a white pen — and don’t the two of them make a fine pair? You get a lighter white and a brighter white, adding a lot of depth to your card.

I’m still in frantic card-making mode. I send out about 250 cards a year and I am soooo behind! How are you doing? Let’s cheer each other on as we march through November...time’s a-tickin’! :)

One last thing — let me be the first to wish you a HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I’ll see you here again in December :)

How often do you color on card stocks other than white? It's a fun experiment and until you try, you'll never know what cool new effects you can achieve. Why not give it a shot this weekend with your favorite MFT images, then tag us by using #mftstamps when you upload so we can check out what you've done!

What fun! As always, you manage to pack as much coloring info as fun comments about you and your pups. Keep it up – we’ll all get inspired to have fun with you. Thanks for the pix of you in your crazy hat.

I have Neehan Dessert storm and just need to get brave and try coloring with Copics on it. I watch my ink so I know it will take more to blend and I’m cheap 😂🤣🤣
