A socially distanced Tea Party feels like an appropriate way to wrap up the year 2020! Sandy's festive winter scene epitomizes this unusual year but with an optimistic twist — make the most of any situation! Once you've learned more about Sandy's process, make sure to scroll to the end of today's post for some fun news about an event happening TONIGHT. Hope to see you there!
Hello my fellow coloring friends! It’s Sandy Allnock, here with my last card of 2020 — here’s to 2021 showing 2020 how it’s done, ha! Alright, let’s get to making a cute birthday card for my niece!
This is a little socially-distanced group of friends waiting for the birthday girl to arrive…I’m still in Christmas mode so they’ve got red and green accents but they show up so nicely against that pretty winter scene!
First to be colored is the fox, one of my favorite stamped animals to color! (See the video on my channel to see another one.) He’s so cute perched on his chair — to add the gift box, just draw in a square for him to hold!
Next up: a bear with glasses! With her cute hat pulled down I’m not sure if she’s a bear or another critter but I made her a black bear with a brown tummy, and solved the dark-eyes-on-dark-fur problem with glasses!
The white bunny has her little flower transformed into a poinsettia — which is what you get to do when stamping with an other-than-black ink!
I sure hope the little birthday girl arrives soon to the party. These three are ready to roll, and with all that crunchy snow under their feet they’ll be getting c-c-c-cold soon!
Last but not least, the promised pic of colors I used...pick something similar to try this card yourself!

Such a cute design!!
Sandy’s scenes are always such a joy to behold! These little critters were just waiting for her masterful Copic colouring to bring them to life. You can almost hear the snow crunching beneath them as they walked/hopped over to their seats. Thank you for another wonderful instalment of Create IN COLOR ❤️
