Love Is in the Air — Friends & Coworkers

We spend a lot of time with our coworkers — want to show your friends and colleagues that you love and appreciate them? Today Stephanie has a fun duo that does just that.

Welcome to day two of Love Is in the Air. Today we're focusing on friends and coworkers, and staying with yesterday's idea, I decided to create a Valentine-themed card to coordinate with a gift that can be used throughout the year.

One of my favorite things to give friends is a hand-stitched bookmark. I love to read and it makes me so happy to create something they can use in their own books that reminds them of our friendship every time they open the pages. I also think they're a great gift for co-workers because they are pretty useful (even if they don't read a lot) and it's a great gift for Valentine's Day since it's pretty universal and not too lovey-dovey. ;)

I die cut the Cross-Stitch Bookmark from white card stock and used one of our downloadable patterns to color in the cactus design with Copic markers. I used coordinating thread and stitched the design onto the bookmark. I always like to back them with white card stock and then I add a coordinating card stock color behind and cut it with my trimmer so it's slightly larger before finishing the bookmark with a colored tassel that matches the design.

I used the new Let's Stick Together stamp set to create a coordinating card — this one being specifically for a friend. Since you probably wouldn't tell a coworker that you loved them, you can swap out the love part for a more generic sentiment like hello.

Now we have a card perfect for Valentine's Day to coordinate with our gift that works for any time of the year!

Such cute images and projects! I like the idea of sending cards to friends and coworkers. Some of mine are not avid readers of hard copy books, so instead I’m thinking I would make a fridge magnet!! Thanks for the chance to win.

Love the bookmark/card combo! I’ve cross-stitched since I was a little girl and it was exciting a couple years ago when I realized I could combine my two favorite crafts. Thank you for the chance to win!!

This wants me to dig through the closet and find my cross stitch items which haven’t been touches in years! Such cute projects.

I’ve always been fascinated with cross stitch, but haven’t learned how to do it. I love making tags, too. Can’t remember when I last purchased ready made tags. Perhaps I’ll give it a try.

Great projects ladies.
