Explore New Cross-Stitch Rectangle Patterns and Get Inspired by Barbara’s Underwater Scene

Our line of cross-stitch products makes it so easy to integrate your love of stitching with your paper-crafting habit. The resulting projects are more than thoughtful  — they’re heartfelt tokens of your love and affection that your recipients won’t be able to part with! Throughout the rest of the week, we’ll be sharing projects from the team that feature this innovative line, as well as debuting a plethora of new patterns to refresh and reinvigorate your collection.

Day two of our cross-stitchaganza is brought to you by Barbara and her colorful underwater scene featuring the Cross-Stitch Rectangle Die-namics.

Choosing Summer Splash for her scene was an easy way for Barbara to create the illusion of water without the necessity of creating a large number of blue stitches — a great tip for maximizing your time when creating water, sky, or other large-scale backgrounds.

If you’d like to emulate the colorful underwater look Barbara has created, the DMC floss colors she used include 971, 972, 310, 648, and blanc.

Some of the team has played along with the Cross-Stitch Rectangle Die-namics today as well. Be sure to take a peek at each of their blogs to see the stitched magic they’ve created!
