Twinkling glitter, without the mess! It's possible and this month, Sandy is making some glitter magic with Birdie Brown's Unicorns and Glitter stamp set.

Hello and TGIF, colorists! It’s the weekend…and it’s still National Craft Month. Are you busy celebrating?

I’m Sandy Allnock, and I have to make a confession...I have a no-glitter(ish) rule in my studio! The mess has never been something I love — and when I spent years sending cards to troops overseas, I laid down the law about it. If it gets on their uniforms it makes them visible in night-vision goggles, and I wasn’t about to endanger them!

However, I love the LOOK of twinkly glitter! So when I saw this sweet set of stamps, I decided I would color my OWN glitter!

Check out the video and see what you think. Does it still need glitter glitter?

I’m still of a mind that glitter’s not absolutely necessary if you add enough white pen, right?

The colors are on-screen in the video, but if you’d like to know what they are, here you go:

A tip with airbrushing: I almost always have a little repair to do — it has to do with the angle of the blowing air and color. If I were not trying to do this on camera I might eliminate a bit by turning the paper, but wanted to show you how easy it is to just touch it up with a little lighter color.

To finish my card I added a couple layers — pink under the colored panel, and navy blue for a base. Any rainbow-y colors could work!

Super cute card Sandy, I love how you coloured this with “glitter” but without sprinkling it all over the place LOL
Your white pen must be a magic one, it finished off this card stunning.
Thank you so much for sharing and have a wonderful month.
