Your Smile Makes the World Brighter

A basic grid design is always a versatile starting point for projects – scrapbook layouts and cards alike! For this layout, each space was viewed as a tiny opportunity to play with pattern and texture. The common theme that pulls the collection of mini canvases together is the colors scheme and the world and smile themes that were generated by the stamped sentiment. The photo, slightly larger and tilted a bit, takes center stage. The stamped and textured panels were offset to balance the completed page.

This sentiment, from the Eye Charts stamp set, was die cut with the Fishtail Flags STAX. Additional layers were cut from contrasting card stock and vellum and stapled in the upper right corner.

In the upper left corner, the Horizontal Stitched Strips were cut and woven together. The main component from the Smile stamp set was stamped repeatedly and punctuated by the Ampersand die cuts attached with dimensional foam.

IMG_9586In the lower right corner, the panel was first stamped with the Wood Plank Background. Partial die cutting was done with the High-Rise Alphabet letters to create the title. Finally, a collection of die-cut stars and the peek-a-boo border from Blueprints 18 were added.

IMG_9587Now it’s your turn – take the latest sketch and make it your own. This 12 x 12″ design can inspire a scrapbook layout or a card. Make sure you tag #mftstamps on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook when you share your creations – we love to see what you’re up to!

Wow! You managed to put together an interesting mix of eye catching 3d textures on this scrap book page. Nice to see MFT products on a scrapbook page.
