Furry Fun with Simon Hurley

We’re so pleased to have the incredibly talented Simon Hurley joining us on the blog today. We’re so inspired by his innovative projects — both feature techniques that have our wheels spinning with possibilities!

Hey there! It’s Simon Hurley and I am super excited to be sharing my projects with you on the MFT blog today.

Handmade cards from Simon Hurley featuring products from My Favorite Things #mftstamps

I created two tri-fold cards using some of the fun dog and cat images from the new release. These cards are lots of fun to create and provide a bit of extra room to fit more adorable images!

On the first card, I used the So Many Yays Die-namics to create a window on the front flap. On the inside flap, I used the Love You Furever stamp set to create a scene of kittens peeking through the die-cut window. The tri-fold card design is nice because it still allows for a personalized message on the inside.

On the second example, I stamped a line of dogs from the Puppy Kisses stamp set on each flap and partially cut them using the coordinating dies. This creates a staggered party of dogs when the card is all closed up. To finish the card, I added a fun and colorful party banner using the Celebratory Banner Die-namics.

I hope you’ll give these fun tri-fold card designs a try. They are super easy to create and allow even more room for creativity!

Love how you creatively show the kittens peeking through the Yay die cut, and how you used the banner over the puppies lined up in a row. Glad to see you on the MFT blog!
