You’re Unstoppable: Copic Coloring with Sandy Allnock
Hi there, and welcome to December! How did this month get here already!? Goodness gracious. time really flies! I’m Sandy Allnock – and I’m pretty stoked to bring you a card I made for a special young lady I know who’s having a heck of a hard time. She’s been wrestling with addiction — not uncommon nowadays, unfortunately — and I’ve been sending her cards several times a week filled with bad dad jokes. Yep…making her laugh! The card I’m sharing today had lots of bad superhero jokes in it — jokes like:
Where do superheroes live? Cape Town!
What’s a superhero’s favorite drink? Fruit PUNCH!
I warned you, they’re bad dad jokes! But I know they make her smile and roll her eyes, at least. So let’s get on with the coloring, shall we?
I’m using, of course, the You’re Super stamp set – and creating a scene of a city that our caped crusader is rescuing.
Right away I knew she’d be in a night scene with those cool silhouetted buildings. I stamped the shield first and masked it, stamped the girl and masked her, then the burst, and then the city – twice. See the video for Copic coloring tips!
I love her little outfit and sure wish I had one sometimes. It’d be great to dress like a superhero and see if the powers came along with it, right? If you know where I could pick up a yellow cape that matches Y17, let me know, okay?
Finishing touches on a lot of my cards lately have been the Stitched Rectangle STAX — oh my gosh. Everyone’s probably getting sick of it on my YouTube channel, but seriously, they have SO many sizes you can always find one that’s perfect to add just that tiny detail to the outer edges of a colored panel!
