Make the Most of Your Supplies

Hi there! I’m back with my final guest designer post. It’s been a great honour and pleasure to share my ideas with you here on the blog.

Today, I would like to encourage and inspire you to make the most of your supplies. When we invest in a set, we certainly want to get more bang for our buck, right?

I’m a sucker for all things house and cityscape, so I decided to see what I could do with the skyline stamp from You’re Super. I went for my favourite clean and simple style today — hope you like my ideas!

For the first card I stamped and die cut the image in rainbow colours and placed them behind a die-cut window. The sentiment is from one of my favourite sets — Boss Babe.

The second card has the same clean and simple look except this time I used distress oxide inks for the background, and partial die cutting to create the cityscape. It looks like the big city is waiting for you, go get it! You just need to believe in yourself! The sentiment is again from the Boss Babe stamp set.

I also made two square cards. First, this simple shaker using the Snow Globe Die-namics.

I stamped the image in Kraft Hybrid Ink onto the white base and added a bit of sky around it with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Ink. I also stamped the Wood Plank Background onto the globe base for additional interest. To ground my snow globe I used the Stitched Strip Die-namics — a perfect way to add an accent without overloading your card. The sentiment from the Snow Globe Sentiments set is a must have for the season! And of course, white splatters…afterall, it’s all about snow.

Finally, I made a super simple card with just one tiny pop of colour. I used Glossy Accents from Ranger to make the heart dimensional and shiny. The sentiment is from More Essential Sentiments.

Wishing you all a happy holiday season and all the best in 2018! Can’t wait to see what it’s got in store for us. Cheers!

I love your take on the cityscape in this set. Same image, but each scene creates a different mood based on the colour palette you chose. Thanks for sharing your creativity.
