Creative Construction with Blueprints – Let’s Get Interactive

We love Blueprints because they take the guesswork out of crafting beautiful cards (and tags!) in quick fashion when we’re short on time or inspiration. We also love them for their versatility and ability to be mixed and matched when we have the time and inspiration to create something truly unique. Our Creative Construction Challenge focuses on these attributes each month, challenging the team to either assemble a card based on one of the provided Blueprints sketches or design an original design combining elements from the featured Blueprints.

Did you know you can find ALL of our printable Blueprints sketches in one spot? Our Printable Resources section over there in the sidebar is packed with handy reference materials including Blueprints.

Flaps, windows, and pull-out tabs are all inviting ways to encourage your recipients to interact with your creations. Our exclusive collection of Blueprints Die-namics includes a variety of interactive design features and this month, our team is ready to inspire you to use them in your own creations.

Torico’s innovative card will light up the faces of your birthday boys and girls! The slider she created with elements from Blueprints 24 reveals a bonus greeting AND five flickering candle flames – what a treat.

Handmade card from Barbara Anders featuring products from My Favorite Things #mftstamps

Barbara scored the flap element included in Blueprints 28, attached it to a sliding element and not only hid an inspiring message inside but also created a scene – simply lay the card on a flat surface and you have a delightful pop-up tableau.

We’re not done yet — keep on clicking to see how others on our team interpreted this month’s challenge.
