Isha has shared some amazing inspiration this month. She is back today with one last April Sketch Challenge. Thanks so much for joining us, Isha!

Isha used the circle elements from the sketch as inspiration for the placement of her stamped flowers. She created the largest cluster at the bottom to stay true to the sketch layout and added additional interest by stamping a watercolored background on her card panel. A sentiment strip layered over her flowers completes her design and offers a heartfelt greeting.

Keeway also featured flowers on her card and changed up the sketch slightly by adhering two of the blooms together. A soft green ink blended background adds a cohesive look to her design and adds a beautiful elegance that nicely complements her sentiment.

Donna featured all three of the circle elements on her card but changed up the design slightly, to work better with her adorable stamped images.  The ombre ink blended background allows her sentiment to stand out on the card, while the added stamped bubbles add a fun and playful look to her design.

We’re welcoming Isha back to the blog today with her take on this week’s sketch!

Isha was inspired by the basic sketch layout but opted to feature a stamped image as her focal element rather than an oval shape. Modifying the sketch is a great way to utilize the foundation while still creating the design you envision. A colorful background adds interest to her card and nicely complements her fabulous coloring.

Torico created a gorgeous design that replicates the sketch perfectly while still reflecting her own personal style. Her stamped image extends out of the oval element, with the coloring portion highlighted within the shape for a unique and unexpected look.

Melania used a Stitched Tag-Corner Rectangle die to create a focal window on her card that features her sweet Easter scene. She also included the two rectangle strips, using one for the sentiment and one for a grassy landscape to ground her stamped images.

We’re welcoming Isha back to the blog with her take on this week’s sketch!

Isha used the new Photo Strip Die-namics to create a fun and playful shaker card design based on the layout of this week’s sketch. An ink splattered background adds subtle interest while the layered card stock on both the Photo Strip and the sentiment strips add great contrast and really help the white elements stand out on her card.

A soft border of billowy, inked clouds provides the perfect backdrop for Joy’s desert scene and keeps her design in line with the sketch layout. The addition of the white heat embossed sentiment strips add a heartfelt greeting that coordinates nicely with her color palette.

Nicole also featured a beautiful cloud-filled sky on her design, nestled between two die cut Birch Trees.  She stamped her sentiment directly on her card base in bold, black ink and used foam adhesive on her stamped and die cut images to add dimension to her card.

We’re welcoming a brand new guest designer to the Sketch Challenge this month. Join us in extending a warm hello to Isha Gupta!

Isha used this week’s sketch as inspiration for her stunning floral design featuring the Painted Petals stamp set. A dimensional brick background created with the English Brick Wall stencil and embossing paste, adds a textured backdrop that perfectly complements her gorgeous design. A black die-cut sentiment finishes her layout, providing a greeting that works for a variety of occasions.

The large rectangle element on this week’s sketch offers a great foundation to create a stamped design. Torico assembled her scene, complete with a darling girl, her sweet furry friends, and a pair of balloons on the focal panel, and added a pop of color with a stamped sentiment on a green card stock strip.

Angelica created a bold, colorful design featuring a stack of stamped monsters from the Monster Sized stamp set. The black & white striped patterned paper adds great contrast and helps her mischievous monsters stand out on her card.
