Hits & Highlights

It’s July! The heart of summer calls for diving into your crafting head-first. Summer fun is a (cool) breeze to integrate into your card making thanks to an endless variety of MFT products featuring sun, sand, and water. We’ve challenged the team to step up their summer game for this month’s Hits & Highlights. Grab some lemonade and check out their creations!

Handmade card from Torico featuring products from My Favorite Things #mftstamps

Just beclaws you’re awesome, we couldn’t wait to share this simple technique from Torico for creating an easy, beachy backdrop for skittering sand creatures like those in Just Beclaws. A few random spatters of white and brown inks against a tan panel results in an instantly recognizable beach for sand-loving creatures great and small.

Handmade card from Amy Yang featuring products from My Favorite Things #mftstamps

That crisp blue line delineating ocean from sky sets the scene for Amy’s Penguins in Paradise. You’ll notice she used a similar technique to create her beach but seamlessly blended a variety of colors to mimic the transition from beach to water. Those puffy clouds complete the look beautifully.

Time to check out how others on our team interpreted our latest Hits & Highlights challenge!
