Make Today Beautiful with Two Colorful Cards from Anna Lorenzetto

It’s a brand-new year and we are so excited to jump in headfirst with new products, new ideas, and endless opportunities to connect with our friends and customers. To kick off the year, we’re welcoming Anna Lorenzetto to the blog. Her clean and colorful style is a fresh, welcoming way to usher in another year.

Hi there and thanks for joining me today!

I’m Anna, and I’m so happy and honored to be a guest designer here on the MFT blog! I have a couple of projects to share with you today highlighting the amazing stamps and Die-namics from the MFT December Release.

My first card shows how you can stretch your Die-namics to create a colorful geometric pattern — just a fun way to add some interest to your designs.

I used the Essential Slanted Sentiment Strips Die-namics to die cut several strips of colored card stock, and carefully aligned and glued them to a white card stock panel. I chose rainbow colors for this card, but you can use any color combination you like best.

I used the Hello, Beautiful stamp set and the coordinating Beautiful Die-namics to create the sentiment. I die cut the bold “beautiful” script out of white sparkle card stock and heat embossed the first part of the sentiment in white on black card stock.

Since I wanted to make the sentiment pop, I framed the focal point of my card with one of the Single Stitch Line Rectangle Frames and trimmed the colorful background down to fit within the frame.

Finally, I mounted the frame on a card base, previously “splattered” using the Distressed Patterns stamp set, and added some sparkling clear sequins as an embellishment.

For my second project, I used the amazing Bold Beautiful Die-namics. This gorgeous die can be used in many different ways, and I think it’s just perfect to create colorful eye-catching designs. I die cut the intricate “beautiful” word out of white card stock and colored it in rainbow colors using Copic markers.

Next, I heat embossed the leading sentiment, from the Hello, Beautiful stamp set, in white on a strip of green card stock, and foam mounted it in the middle of my card. Finally, I decided to add a cute little accent to my project from the Friends at First Sip stamp set. Seriously, how adorable is this furball friend? 🙂

Both of the card designs are wonderful but the second is my favorite. Great die and so versatile but the addition of the cute little dog just pushed it over the top. Happy New year. Thank you for sharing.????

Love My Favorite Things! I’m going to spend more time crafting in 2019. Spent 2018 emptying out 65 years of stuff from my Mom’s house.

Welcome Anna! What a creative way to use the slanted sentiment strips! I like your colors to the geometric shape with the ‘Beautiful’ sentiment, it’s encouraging this left brain numbers person to stretch out of her drudgery, add some color and make it ‘beautiful’! (oye, it must be New Year’s, me thinking this way, ha!) That furball is a great, cheery accent to your other beautiful card!

Beautiful cards, Anna! I especially love how you did the rainbow strips in your first version, & slanted the focal panel on the card base. Tfs! 🙂 ~ Andrea
