I’m so Glad Amy Is Ours, Ours, Ours
We get to enjoy one more post this month from our dear friend Amy. We’re SO glad to have her as part of the MFT family and always love seeing what she creates with our latest release.
Hey everyone! I’m back again with another card using stamps and dies from the May release. This time, I wanted to ink up and play with the Seaside Seagulls set.
I stamped all the images from the set twice onto Copic friendly card stock with MFT’s Black Licorice Hybrid Ink then quickly coloured them in with Copic markers. The colors I used were C4, C2, C00, 0, Y35, Y32, YR30, E37, E35, E33, E31, and BG000.
After I finished all the colouring, I used the coordinating Seaside Seagulls Die-namics to cut out all the images, then got to building my scene.
I started with some Smooth White Card Stock that I die cut with the large rectangle die from the Blueprints 1 Die-namics set, then sponged the sun in the corner using the Radiating Rays Stencil and Lemon Chiffon Premium Dye Ink. I die cut some Latte Card Stock with one of the Stitched Valley Die-namics elements, and die cut the waves from Summer Splash and Cornflower Card Stock with the new Ocean Waves Die-namics.
I then adhered my little island and all the waves onto the card base, and glued all but one of the seagulls onto the card front.
The sentiment was stamped onto Cherry Crisp Card Stock with Versamark ink and heat embossed with detail white embossing powder before trimming it out and adhering it to the bottom of the card. I then adhered the card front to the Smooth White card base with foam tape.
I couldn’t resist adding a variety of googly eyes to the seagulls to give them a goofy look. Cracks me up every time – especially with this sentiment!
I saved one of the seagulls and the second set of clouds to adhere to the inside of the card. I had a leftover piece of die cut Summer Splash Card Stock so I created a mini scene on the inside of the card and that finished it off!
Thanks so much for joining me here today and to MFT for having me as a guest twice this month! All the links to the products I used are listed below!
