When you finish off a card, it’s perfectly fine to stamp it, address it, and drop it in the mail. After putting so much work into the card though, it’s always a fun idea to dress up the card envelope too. Consider some of these ideas:

Stamping — Coordinate your card envelope with the card contained within. Use the same stamp set to embellish your envelope with anything from a single image to a full-blown scene. Stick with simple single-color stamping, or give your stamped elements a full-color treatment with markers, pencils, or even watercolor.

Envelope liner — Peruse our vast assortment of patterned paper options to find the perfect option for lining your card envelope. It’s creates a fun surprise for someone already anticipating the “big reveal” of the card.

Embellishments — For a truly spectacular finish, add dimensional designs and accents. If you’ll be presenting your card in person, the extra bulk won’t be a problem. If you’re mailing the card, be sure to grab some clear card boxes to protect your efforts.

If you’re concerned about the “mailabiity” of your card envelope, pop in to the post office to have them advise you! Make sure to grab some cute stamps while you’re there…all of those little details make a big impact on your finished project!
