How long have you been making cards?

I have been making handmade cards for as long as I can remember. It started as a child. In 2012, while I was searching for tutorials on paper quilling, I accidentally landed a on card making blog and I was totally hooked! That’s how my love for stamping and die cutting began.

Do you have other crafty hobbies you enjoy?

Several years ago, I tried jewelry making and loved it! I especially liked making paper jewelry. I hope I find time again for it this year. I also like fabric painting. Needle felt art is on my list to try this year.

What’s your favorite technique for adding interest to your projects?

You’ll almost always find some kind of coloring on my cards — it is very rare that I make a card that doesn’t involve my Copic markers or Daniel Smith watercolors.

I also absolutely love creating background patterns on my cards using different images from the stamp set. I love how the tiny images in stamp sets are so useful for this purpose. I also add white gel pen details on colored images most of the time. Stacking several word die cuts is one more thing I do for dimension.

What’s your current favorite MFT product?

There are SO MANY! The Torn Paper Edges Die-namics is one of my current favorites. Also stamps from YUZU line. I also absolutely love the Fundamental Florals Die-namics. These florals are so beautiful! And if I start telling you how much I adore each MFT card kit, I might not able to stop!
