Happy Friday everyone! It’s always fun to pair my newer Die-namics with my older stamps for a fresh feel. I’ve been having fun playing with the Bookmark Duo Die-namics the last few days. In particular, I wanted to do a little mixing and matching to create a child’s bookmark. I discovered that the sentiment “I’m over the moon for you” from You Move Me was a perfect fit!
I like to keep my bookmarks fairly flat in their design, I don’t add bulky buttons, or ribbons so that the book can properly close. In order to create really durable bookmarks, I always cut each layer twice, once from patterned paper and again from cardstock so that they’re nice and firm and can stand up to repeated use.
I generally use the wider die as the front piece, and then add the skinnier die to the backside so that you can slide the bookmark over the top of the page to securely mark your position.
Since I had all the materials handy, I went ahead and used one of the coordinating (and larger) sentiments for a coordinating card. I added the rocket ship with a foam booster for added dimension and added a twine tied button. The rocket was cut from our new Steel Grey Cardstock and the tiny clouds were cut from Sweet Tooth Felt.
Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and that you get to squeeze in a little creative time for yourself! Remember that our Guest Designer Contest is in full swing. You can find all the details HERE.
