As kids begin school again, moms everywhere have the pleasure of putting their stampy talents to good use to create gifts for teachers and administrators. What better way to kick off a new school year? Follow this quick and easy tutorial to create a Post-it® Note Holder for your favorite teacher, co-worker, or friend.
Step 1: Cut Sweet Tooth Card Stock strips measuring 10″ x 3 1/4″ and 10 3/4″ x 3 1/4″ and score both strips at 3 1/4″, 3 3/4″, 7″, and 7 1/2″.
Step 2: Adhere the middle section of the two strips together with strong adhesive.
Step 3: Cut six pieces of Berrylicious Card Stock at 3″ x 3″ and two pieces at 3″ x 2 1/4″.
Step 4: Cut six pieces of Smooth White Card Stock at 2 3/4″ x 2 3/4″ and two at 2 3/4″ x 2″.
Step 5: Adhere a piece of Berrylicious Card Stock to the inside of the four flaps. Adhere the notepad to the center and stamp a sentiment on the front page.
Step 6: Using Blooming Roses, stamp the smallest rose onto all six of the Smooth White Card Stock pieces with Berrylicious ink, then stamp the detail on the rose using Kraft ink. Stamp the small leaf between the stamped roses using both Factory Green and Sour Apple inks.
Step 7: Adhere one piece to each Berrylicious Card Stock mat on the inner flaps.
Step 8: Stamp a coordinating sentiment onto one of the stamped pieces using Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink. Adhere it to the cover, layering it with a leftover piece of Berrylicious Card Stock.
Step 9: Create a bellyband by cutting Sweet Tooth Card Stock to 1 1/4″x 10″, then score at 3 3/8″, 4″, 7 3/8″, and 7 15/16″. Adhere the ends of the card stock together. Adhere a strip of Berrylicious Card Stock measuring 3 1/8″ x 1″ to the largest section of the bellyband.
Step 10: To decorate the bellyband, cut a large butterfly from vellum and also from Smooth White Card Stock using the Blissful Butterflies Die-namics. Use Steel Blue ink to stamp a butterfly from the Blissful Butterflies Stamp Set onto the Smooth White Card Stock. Layer the stamped butterfly onto the vellum butterfly and attach to the bellyband.
Mix and match sentiments to create multiple gifts that are each unique.
