Watercolor Magic

Emily is back with us on the blog today! We’re so happy to have her sharing her wonderful creativity with us again.

Hi, it’s Emily Leiphart again, and I’m thrilled to be back on the My Favorite Things blog with two more cards! This first one uses the TRANSFORM-ables Say Hello Die-namics. On the front panel, I used the smaller of the two dies to cut a window into the patterned paper. Then I combined both of the included die elements to create the black frame that was attached to the card front. leiphartonart3878_04Aug14 (15)_wm I slid the boy and girl from the Boy Meets Girl Die-namics into the frame before securing acetate to the back of the window to create a shaker. I purposely positioned the girl’s head so that the two “Ls” would form bunny ears ;) leiphartonart3879_04Aug14 (49)_wmFor my second card, I combined stamped phrases from Smile, die-cut words from the Peek-a-Boo Alphabet Uppercase Die-namics, and a heat-embossed ampersand from Always & Forever to create a custom sentiment.

To finish, I watercoloured the die-cut letters and added three enamel hearts. leiphartonart3881_04Aug14 (35)_wm Thanks so much for stopping by!

Love the top card I think it turned out super cute. The water color spots on the second card make it pop. Both cards are awesome. TFS

These are fabulous! Love how you used the die cuts for the shaker card and the watercolouring is amazing! I haven’t been brave enough to try either technique… and you did both of these cards brilliantly!

These cards are awesome! The first card cracks me up with the people hanging out from the hello. I love that it’s a shaker, too. The watercoloring on the second card is gorgeous. I think I need to get those dies. :) Fab work!
