Hello everyone! I thought I’d share a little bit about the card I created today.

Handmade card from Amy Rysavy featuring Lisa Johnson Designs Stars Above stamp set and Die-namics,Stitched Sentiment Strips and Star Grid Cover-Up Die-namics #mftstamps

I stamped the images from the Stars Above stamp set onto Smooth White card stock with Versamark ink and embossed them with gold embossing powder. Then I used some metallic gold watercolour paint in different sections of the stars. Even though I wasn’t using watercolour paper for the embossed stardust, painting on some metallic watercolour like this is fine because it doesn’t take too much water so there is little chance of warping and/or pilling of the paper.

I die cut the stars with the coordinating Die-namics and ran another piece of Smooth White card stock through my manual die cut machine using the Star Grid Cover-Up Die-namics. I left all the interior pieces in place, and splattered more of the gold watercolour onto the background before adhering it to my card base with foam tape.

I used the Stars Above Die-namics to die cut a couple of stars from some Gold Sparkle card stock, and adhered the various stars onto my card front — popping some up with foam tape.

The sentiment was die cut with one of the Stitched Sentiment Strips Die-namics and embossed with the same gold embossing powder before being adhered to the card front.

To finish off the design, I added some Metallic Gold Sequins to the card and stamped the sentiment on the inside. Then I adhered the remaining die cut stars, and that was it!
