Today, we are going to show you a “hybrid” technique that combines embossing with Die-namics and creating “peek-a-boo” holes. You can use this technique to create one layer cards that will wow the lucky recipient of your masterpiece.
To create this card you will cut and emboss on a card base. For the first step, make sure your card is open and lying flat on the cutting plate. Place the Artist Palette die in the desired position. Place the other cutting pad on top and run the stack through your machine.
Place the embossing pad on the cutting plate. Fold your card base in half, leaving the side with the die-cut out on the top. Place the die in the opening. It will slide in place in the position it previously cut. Secure the die with a few small pieces of removable tape. Place the other cutting pad on top and run the stack through your machine.
Carefully remove the tape to reveal the impression of the die design on your card stock.
Now it’s time for you to add a splash of color to your project. Think of all the dies in your collection that you can use this technique with. Tell us which die(s) you plan to use.
