Feathered Friends Frolic

Hi everyone! I’m Rosemary (Hey There…rosigrl!) and I am so very excited and grateful to be guest designing for My Favorite Things today! I have two cards to share that I created using products from the April Release.

My first card uses the A Tweet Hello stamp set and matching Die-namics along with the Birdbath Die-namics. I stamped all the birds and the little flower from the A Tweet Hello set on watercolor paper with watercolor compatible gray ink and colored them with ZIG Clean Color real brush markers and clean water. Once everything was dry, I die cut them. I die cut the birdbath from light gray and light blue card stock and adhered the pieces together. I cut a piece of MFT Smooth White Card Stock at an angle and adhered it to a card base made with the same light blue card stock as the water in the birdbath. To create my grass, I used one of the dies from the Pinata Die-namics. The pieces were adhered to the bottom of my angled panel before trimming off the excess. I then adhered the birdbath, birds, and flowers. I finished with the sentiment stamped on more Smooth White Card Stock in black ink, die cut with the Slanted Sentiment Strips Die-namics, and adhered.

My second card also uses the A Tweet Hello stamp set and Die-namics, but this time I paired the little birds with the Garden Gate Die-namics. I started by coloring some watercolor paper with ZIG markers in light blue and light green. Once the piece was dry, I die cut it with the largest Stitched Rounded Rectangle STAX. The garden gate was die cut four times from black card stock, adhered together and then attached to the die-cut rectangle. Before adhering the birds, I placed the panel in my mini MISTI in order to stamp the sentiment at the top in black ink. Then I arranged the three birds and added the rectangle to a panel of white card stock and there adhered everything to a gray card stock base.

I hope you enjoyed my cards today! I will see you tomorrow with a few more projects made with the My Favorite Things April release.
