Hi, I’m Emily Leiphart and I’m so super excited to be guesting on the My Favorite Things blog today! I got to play with some really amazing products – this first card features the Peek-a-Boo Alphabet Uppercase Die-namics. I trimmed squares from various colors of card stock and die cut the letters to spell out the phrase Luv You, Hun - suitable for a friend or significant other! leiphartonart3864_29Jul14 (27)_wm I backed the letters on each of the four corners and the centre with white card stock and the remaining four with grey card stock. All of the coloured die cuts were centered on their backings, except for the O in the middle, which I offset slightly. Before attaching the squares to the kraft card base, I stamped the Plaid Background Builder three times to anchor the words.

For embellishments, I added two sparkly little banners from Blueprints 16, a mini clip, and a wood veneer heart.

My second card features the adorable little girl from Just the Way You Are. I coloured her with Copic markers and popped her up on the opening of a panel created with Blueprints 16. leiphartonart3867_29Jul14 (8)_wm I die cut an extra curve out of red card stock to highlight some of the features in her outfit and adhered that to the back of the purple panel. Before attaching the panel to the card base, I curved the sentiment along the die cut by stamping it in two parts and then heat embossed it.

I also heat embossed another sentiment from the same set on the inside, leaving the card base with enough space to write a novel as I sometimes like to do ;) To finish, I die cut some yellow hearts from the Smart Phone Die-namics and added them to the front of the panel.

Many thanks to My Favorite Things for asking me to showcase their products! I love, love, love them!
