June Teasers Begin with Die-namics!

Today the June 2nd Release Teasers Begin, and we are starting off with our 4 new Die-namics selections first!  (Just cause we wanna be able to show them off for the rest of Teaser days, dontcha know)

How about we spend a little time getting to know the new Die-namics, and then I’ll scoot you along to the amazing MFT DT so you can see just how clever and versatile these new Die-namics are!

Fresh Cut Grass ($11.95) measures 6” long and .75” high at the tallest grass blade.  There are several small poke holes on the bottom of the die which is designed to allow for easy removal of paper once it’s cut.  You simply poke the hole with a toothpick, and your paper magically pops out!

Check out how easy Die-namics Fresh Cut Grass cuts through felt, card stock & cork:

Sunshine ($10.95) is a two piece die, with an outer sunray die (2”) and an inner circle (.875”) for layering if desired.

Jumbo Ric Rac ($15.95) is 6” long and 1 1/2” wide and we believe it is the first 1 1/2” ric rac die on the market.

Our revolutionary Ribbon RE:Creations Grosgrain Texture Board ($14.95) is designed to exactly mimic grosgrain ribbon.  When used after cutting a Jumbo Ric Rac Shape, your paper project will look as if you’ve adorned it with expensive jumbo ric rac!  The effect is subtle, but feels and looks just like fabric ribbon!  It measures 2′ wide and 6″ long.

If you price out 1 1/2″ Ric Rac, you’ll find it’s approx. $.50 – $1 a yard, but for just over $30, you can have unlimited Jumbo Rc Rac in every color you could EVER need!

Check out how our Ribbon RE:Creations Grosgrain Texture Board will transform your Jumbo Ric Rac & more!

FREEZE Frames Day 4

Today is the last FREEZE Frame post for our June 2nd release, and Teasers start TOMORROW with our new Die-namics! I can NOT WAIT.  Oh I am so stinkin’ excited!!!!  But, until then let’s preview the other new sets releasing!

You probably saw some creative and amazing ideas with Who’s That Girl Goes Green from our VIP Hop last week, but there’s more goodness to come!  THis set contains TWO main images (it’s a LARGE set) and 7 sentiments.  And one little element that works perfectly on the canvas tote she’s carrying in the other main image!  I love that people are starting to feel more connected to each other and to the beautiful planet we share.  Sorry, it’s the Mom in me…

Next up is Who’s That Geek Guy, and I LOVE this set!  Just in time for Father’s Day, and filled with the most fun, creative sentiments EVER for your geek (or not-so-geekish) guy.  There are 15 sentiments in this set, all of which perfectly fit on his t-shirt!  I am in serious love.  When first designing this set, I thought I was going to struggle to find the right sentiments, and emailed my go-to girls, Jody and Joanne for help.  But, before they could really even respond, I had the set filled up!  It was so much fun!  There are a couple of suggestions from the girls included, they were too cute to pass up!

The June Triple Scoop set is Clearly Sentimental about Summer Vacations, and it’s one of my favorite ever!  There are funny sentiments (Erma Bombeck), scrappy sentiments and serious sentiments, all of which combined make the perfect vacation sentiment set.

I trust you have enjoyed the FREEZE Frames, and are ready to be fully Teased with all that our June 2nd Release will offer!

FREEZE Frames Day 3

I am so excited to show off today’s sets!  Today’s FREEZE Frames are previewing the two new Jolinne’s this month, and a former Kit set that’s being released on June 2nd.

This set just totally makes me smile!  Little (and not so little) girls LOVE to play dress up, both of my daughters included!  Well, Brianna doesn’t PLAY dress up anymore, she just IS dressed up.  Oh to be 17 and have time to primp.  Sigh.  Joliine – All Dressed Up comes with this main image and also 4 sentiments.  And the sentiments work for so many occasions!  Birthdays, just because, freindship, it goes on and on….

Jolinne is in her garden this month, with a full sized set full of possibilities!  There are 6 sentiments & two flower pots (in addition to the one in the main image).  So many ways to be creative, and the perfect set for spring and summer!

Bath Time is a fresh take on our most famous set ever, Time for the Bubbly.  In addition to the main image, which fits perfectly in your Spellbinders Oval frame, there are four sentiments which are perfect for gift giving.  PERFECT.  Birthdays, girls night out (or girls day in!), friends who need a little pick me up, there are so many ways to use this set I can’t begin to list them all!

Tomorrow I’ll be back with more!  Mark your calendar now to attend the release on June 2nd!

WSC – Take Note (05.26.10)

Hi all!  I’m back with a new Wednesday Stamp Club, and I’d love for you to join me this week!  The challenge is to incorporate Take Note or another type of print/text/sheet music into your project.  Here’s my finished sample:

I followed a gorgeous sketch I printed out from a challenge blog, but now can’t find it again!  ACK.

In addition to Take Note, I used the twill that was released as part of our VIP Kit, and will be released on June 2nd, along with our Jumbo Scallops Die-namics die.

Here’s a close up of the twill I cut.  I ran it through my Big Shot back and forth, just like I do my felt.

I probably could’ve run it through an additional turn, maybe I’ll play around with that!

No that your creative juices are flowing, how about a fun promo today only??

- All orders OVER $50 will receive a FREE set (set choices below)

- All orders OVER $75 will receive TWO FREE sets (set choices below)

Choose your favorite from:

Now, who wants to play along for a chance to win a $15 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique?  (PSST…the release is next Wednesday night, and you’ll need some extra spending money…)

FREEZE Frames Day 2

I hope everyone is ready for more previews!!!  I know I am!  I’m back today with some Emma, Wyatt and PI previews, so be prepared for more cuteness than should be legal!  And remember to mark your calendar for our June 2nd release!

Emma is back this month with her own MINI set, and she’s got plenty of kisses to share!  In addition to this main image, there are 5 sentiments, all related to kisses.  As Emma is still little, you can really never have too many little girls kisses, can you?  And I have a little phrase I use when I need an Emma kiss.  I ask her for some “Sweet Sugar Lips”!  I don’t know how or why I started using that phrase, but it was when she was a tiny baby and it’s just stuck.  Now even she knows what to say when I ask “Do you know what I want?”.  She’ll answer “Sweet Sugar Lips!”.  It’s the sweetest thing ever.  Just like her…

Wyatt is filled with excitement this month in Wyatt says Wow!  (Must be in response to Emma blowing him a kiss, you think?)  This set also has 5 sentiments that are perfect for all the little boys on your card making list.

Cart Full of Friends is one of the new PI sets we’ll be releasing, and she comes complete with 3 sentiments and two “friends” for her wagon.  We’ll demo on Teaser day how to add her friends to her wagon!

Isn’t she so sweet with her giant lollipop??  Lollipop Girl comes with this main image and 6 sentiments!  Such a sweet all occasion set, and these girls are just such a breeze to work with.  Watercoloring, Copics, just plain in ink, you CAN’T go wrong!

I think this is my fave PI this month.  She’s called Mud Buddies!  She comes with two dit piles, a flower patch and 2 sentiments.  LOVE this set!  I’m seeing lots of tags made for gifts of herbs for friends, or around any flower pot or gift from the garden.  And I happen to know the DT has some amazing creative ideas for her as well!  You’ll see those when Teasers start.

Now that you’re full of inspiration for the day, I’ll be back tomorrow with another fix!

FREEZE Frames Day 1

Can you BELIEVE it’s time to start FREEZE Frames??  Seriously.  Where does the time go?  For June, there is some amazing and revolutionary stuff coming on June 2nd, all of which will tickle your fancy!

Today I’m previewing Baby Makes 3, Thanks a Bunch, What a Day and Fred Bear and the Butterfly.  I’ve also tweaked the look of the FREEZE Frames, what do you think???

Baby Makes Three is the newest set by Amanda Baird, and works in conjunction with Love Birds.  Isn’t this the cutest little family!!  There are such sweet sentiments in this MINI set, and the image is just the right size to easily (and quickly) add some color.  This set has 4 sentiments AND a stamp to add in height/weight details as well!

Think of the fun birth announcements you can create.  And what better gift to a mom-to-be than making her handcrafted birth announcements!

Thanks a Bunch is our current Triple Scoop set, but will be released on its own, and we couldn’t be happier.  The set was a concept by Joanne, and I think it’s brilliant!

There are 5 large Thank You options, and 15 “for” options.  Seriously necessary.

Thank You’s are one of the most needed cards, and this set makes it SO easy to have JUST the right way to say thanks, for almost every occasion.  Brilliant.

What a Day is a stand alone set that also works with Make the Date.  Using our signature font, you now have days of the week and several ways to customize cards, pages, invitations (works great with Invitation Only!)

Last up for today is Fred Bear and the Butterfly, and I {heart} him in a BIG way!  Isn’t he the CUTEST?  Sigh.  This little guy melts my heart.  Totally.

Now that you’ve had a teensy, tiny peek at what’s ahead, I’ll be back tomorrow with more!!

Fab Friend Tammy Hershberger

Happy Monday all! Today I am pleased as punch to have Tammy joining us as our Fabulous Friend! Tammy is not only a fabulous stamper, and as sweet a gal as you could meet, she also works for one of MFT’s favorite stores, Toyrifix. Doesn’t the site and smell of a good stamp store just make you smile??

Anyway, onto the nosy questions!

What is your signature move? Is there one style or technique that seems to adorn your every creation?

It’s hard for me to stay away from using ribbon on everything, and lately I’m obsessed with adding a button and string (naked buttons are a no-no!) on my ribbons, too. It just seems to finish it off so nicely!

What’s your favorite MFT set and why?

Well, I’m definitely on the Pure Innocence bandwagon… I LOVE those sweet little characters! But I think my all-time favorite set has to be Rain or Shine.

Any funny stamping stories? Glitter mishaps?? SPILL!

UGH! I have a shelf just above where I sit when I’m stamping, and there are 4 bins on that shelf that hold ribbon. Being a little on the lazy side sometimes, I was trying to avoid having to stand up, and decided to use my trustly metal ruler to nudge one of those bins out to the edge of the shelf one evening, with the intention that it would just gently fall into my outstretched hand. Of course, it didn’t work that way and a whole bin of pink and red ribbons came crashing down, on top of the open jar of embossing powder sitting in the powder pal just below it! Ribbons and embossing powder EVERYWHERE! I still find powder amongst the ribbons! Talk about a mess!

Now let’s check out Tammy’s amazing and gorgeous set using Coffee? Tea? and Who’s That Chocoholic!

Don’t you love that the coffee cups are a large enough size to make gift tags? It really makes me happy to personalize gifts, and the addition of the gift tag to this coffee mug/chocolate present just makes it, don’t you think?

Please make sure you stop by Tammy’s blog and let her know how much you appreciate her taking time to share her creativity, and she *might* just have more eye candy for you!

WSC – Watercoloring Tutorial Video

Happy Wednesday Stamp Club everyone!  And Happy VIP Day!

This week, I wanted to play around with watercolors.  The DT Members and customers who’ve tried the Watercolor Wonder cardstock just rave about it, so it was time I broke it out and gave it a whirl.  I must say THEY WERE RIGHT!  It’s good stuff!

Here’s my completed project…

And here’s the Watercoloring Tutorial I created!  Be aware, you only get 10 mins on You Tube, so there’s a bunch of fancy footwork to make it fit and cover the important parts!
