FREEZE Frames Day 1

Can you BELIEVE it’s time to start FREEZE Frames??  Seriously.  Where does the time go?  For June, there is some amazing and revolutionary stuff coming on June 2nd, all of which will tickle your fancy!

Today I’m previewing Baby Makes 3, Thanks a Bunch, What a Day and Fred Bear and the Butterfly.  I’ve also tweaked the look of the FREEZE Frames, what do you think???

Baby Makes Three is the newest set by Amanda Baird, and works in conjunction with Love Birds.  Isn’t this the cutest little family!!  There are such sweet sentiments in this MINI set, and the image is just the right size to easily (and quickly) add some color.  This set has 4 sentiments AND a stamp to add in height/weight details as well!

Think of the fun birth announcements you can create.  And what better gift to a mom-to-be than making her handcrafted birth announcements!

Thanks a Bunch is our current Triple Scoop set, but will be released on its own, and we couldn’t be happier.  The set was a concept by Joanne, and I think it’s brilliant!

There are 5 large Thank You options, and 15 “for” options.  Seriously necessary.

Thank You’s are one of the most needed cards, and this set makes it SO easy to have JUST the right way to say thanks, for almost every occasion.  Brilliant.

What a Day is a stand alone set that also works with Make the Date.  Using our signature font, you now have days of the week and several ways to customize cards, pages, invitations (works great with Invitation Only!)

Last up for today is Fred Bear and the Butterfly, and I {heart} him in a BIG way!  Isn’t he the CUTEST?  Sigh.  This little guy melts my heart.  Totally.

Now that you’ve had a teensy, tiny peek at what’s ahead, I’ll be back tomorrow with more!!

Fab Friend Tammy Hershberger

Happy Monday all! Today I am pleased as punch to have Tammy joining us as our Fabulous Friend! Tammy is not only a fabulous stamper, and as sweet a gal as you could meet, she also works for one of MFT’s favorite stores, Toyrifix. Doesn’t the site and smell of a good stamp store just make you smile??

Anyway, onto the nosy questions!

What is your signature move? Is there one style or technique that seems to adorn your every creation?

It’s hard for me to stay away from using ribbon on everything, and lately I’m obsessed with adding a button and string (naked buttons are a no-no!) on my ribbons, too. It just seems to finish it off so nicely!

What’s your favorite MFT set and why?

Well, I’m definitely on the Pure Innocence bandwagon… I LOVE those sweet little characters! But I think my all-time favorite set has to be Rain or Shine.

Any funny stamping stories? Glitter mishaps?? SPILL!

UGH! I have a shelf just above where I sit when I’m stamping, and there are 4 bins on that shelf that hold ribbon. Being a little on the lazy side sometimes, I was trying to avoid having to stand up, and decided to use my trustly metal ruler to nudge one of those bins out to the edge of the shelf one evening, with the intention that it would just gently fall into my outstretched hand. Of course, it didn’t work that way and a whole bin of pink and red ribbons came crashing down, on top of the open jar of embossing powder sitting in the powder pal just below it! Ribbons and embossing powder EVERYWHERE! I still find powder amongst the ribbons! Talk about a mess!

Now let’s check out Tammy’s amazing and gorgeous set using Coffee? Tea? and Who’s That Chocoholic!

Don’t you love that the coffee cups are a large enough size to make gift tags? It really makes me happy to personalize gifts, and the addition of the gift tag to this coffee mug/chocolate present just makes it, don’t you think?

Please make sure you stop by Tammy’s blog and let her know how much you appreciate her taking time to share her creativity, and she *might* just have more eye candy for you!

WSC – Watercoloring Tutorial Video

Happy Wednesday Stamp Club everyone!  And Happy VIP Day!

This week, I wanted to play around with watercolors.  The DT Members and customers who’ve tried the Watercolor Wonder cardstock just rave about it, so it was time I broke it out and gave it a whirl.  I must say THEY WERE RIGHT!  It’s good stuff!

Here’s my completed project…

And here’s the Watercoloring Tutorial I created!  Be aware, you only get 10 mins on You Tube, so there’s a bunch of fancy footwork to make it fit and cover the important parts!

I think that this little Loveosaurus is simply adorable, whether he’s paper pieced like Julie did, or colored like Cassie’s.

blog it

I just love love this gorgeous color combination from Jodi.  I spy the stacked Die-namic Jumbo Scallops and the Scalloped Scallops.  You’ll see that she used the new Banana Split Felt, just luscious!

I love Mercy’s scene that she created here, she’s created a sweet set of best friends using the Pure Innocence Heart Stripes set. Beautiful stitching, piercing and coloring!

This week’s Wednesday Stamp Club challenge has been to alter your paper or embellishments to suit your project. There are so many beautiful entries in the challenge gallery found here – this beauty by Alex also incorporates the Die-namic Jumbo Scallops and the adorable Lather, Rinse Repeat from Pure Innocence

Fab Friend Jodi Collins

Happy Monday all! I am so excited to have Jodi joining us this week as an MFT Fabulous Friend!

And her card is just over the top with adorableness!  But first…let’s get NOSY!

What is your signature move?  Is  there one style or technique that seems to adorn your every  creation?
Signature move…hmmm.  I used to paper pierce everything in sight  (my family would run when they saw me with my piercer!  LOL!), but now I  love to sew on my cards instead.  I find it hard to NOT use my sewing  machine on every card.  I also LOVE to mix patterned paper, you’ll rarely  see me make a card without it.  I have a new obsession with cork  too!

What’s your favorite MFT set and why?
Oh!  That is SO hard!!!  I ADORE the  entire Pure Innocence line, and I love Flopsey’s sweet face too, but if I had  to choose just one, I would have to say Tote-ally Fantastic!  I LOVE the  sentiments and all the different pocketbooks!  I used to have a  pocketbook addiction before I re-discovered rubber stamping!  Another set  I reach for all the time is Essential Sentiments…any sentiment you could  need is in that set!

Any funny stamping stories?   Glitter mishaps??  SPILL!
Where there is glitter, there shall be  mishaps!  One day while stamping with my then three year old daughter,  she found my jars of glitter.  I must have been paper piercing quite  intently (grin), because I didn’t see that she managed to grab one and open it  up.  It wasn’t until I heard her exclaim “Pixie dust!!” that the panic  set in.  I still can’t get all the glitter off the floor of my stamp  room!

Jodi used Birthday Princess and Jumbo Scallop Die-namics with Cork to make this card POP and I am in love with it!!!  Sigh.  How is it I can LOVE paper…..

Please stop by Jodi’s blog and tell her thank you for sharing her beautiful creation with all of us!
