Today I’m playing with a set that isn’t new to My Favorite Things, it’s just that I hadn’t had a chance to ink it up yet. It’s such a shame when that happens!
So, today I’m stamping along with the Ring Me Stamp Set and Die-namics. I know I’ve mentioned before that the stamp and Die-namics combo simplify your card making, all the elements you really “need” are already included. (Though, I will often mix in a few other beloved elements too…) I picked some pretty papers, ink and played around.
You remember these phones right? I actually don’t think my kids have ever seen one. Sigh…. I can fully remember chatting on my peach princess phone with the long cord. In fact, remember when you could by the extra long cord so you could freely walk around the house with it?
I prepared a quick little video to show you all the details of this fun set. It shows you how quick and easy it is to build the rotary element, and it will show you how to make this curly cord too. All the tiny sentiments like “miss you” or “ring ring” will fit in the center of the phone, but today I tucked in a tiny cork heart using the Notched Tag Die-namics. See, it’s fun to mix and match. I highly recommend it.
By the way, you’ll see me using my QuickStick in today’s little video. It’s a handy tool, and go figure, we happen to carry it here at My Favorite Things!
You can see the video HERE or simply click play below.
I added the sentiment “Hello, Friend” to the File Tab Die-namics and then used the “cut and recut” technique to get a perfect fit. You can see how to cut and re-cut in THIS video.
So I hope you’ll join me in digging out a stamp set that you just HAD to have, but maybe haven’t had a chance to work with yet. (Come on, you know we all have them!) You’ll be so glad you did, and I will too! Be sure to leave me a link on this post to see what you’ve done, or simply upload it to the Splitcoaststampers gallery using the keyword MFT, we’re always over checking out that gallery!
