Make a Good Impression with Embossed Borders and Frames

Did you know your Die-namics dies can be used for more than just cutting? With the right stack and a little creativity, you’ll be able to stretch your stash of dies! In this blog post, we’ll teach you how to use your Die-namics to create embossed borders and frames, just like on this birthday card. Sometimes a subtle touch is *just* what you need.

Let’s get started!

Place your embossing mat on the cutting plate and place your card stock on top of it. Place the border die in the desired position and secure the die in place with a small piece of tape. Place the other cutting pad on top and run the stack through your machine.

Carefully remove the tape to reveal the impression of the die design on your card stock. It’s a great way to add details without incorporating addition colors or layers.

To create a double border, turn the die around (or just move it over if you want the designs in the same orientation) and repeat the steps above to add another strip of embossing.

Now you’ll have a double embossed border.

Take it one step further by adding a frame for your sentiment. Position the frame die on the card stock in the desired position, add a little tape to secure it in place, add the top cutting pad, and run the stack through your machine.

Now you have a subtle frame, ready for your sentiment and embellishments.

Ready to give it a try? Go forth and make a good impression. See you soon!
