If you have ever wanted to learn how to watercolor with Tombow Dual Brush Markers you are in for a treat today! Inge has prepared a step-by-step tutorial that will teach you everything you need to know. Watercoloring is one of the many ways you can color your adorable MFT characters. Let’s dive in with this bathing beauty.
Stamp the image onto watercolor card stock using Versafine Tuxedo Black Ink and emboss the image with clear embossing powder. Embossing the image prevents the marker ink from bleeding.
Begin by coloring her legs with 942 Tan and 990 Light Sand. Start with the darker color towards the top of her legs and fade into the lighter color toward her feet.
Using a wet paint brush, blend the two colors together. Start with the lighter color and blend it into the darker color.
Follow the same steps to color her face and arms.
Be sure to color one small section at a time to ensure that the ink stays wet enough to blend.
Add a little color to her cheeks using the 772 Blush marker.
Color her bathing suit, flip flops, and the leaves on her hat with 769 Ochre, 98 Avocado, and 177 Jade.
Start with the darkest color, then move to the mid shade, and then the lightest shade. Use your wet paint brush to blend the three colors together.
Color the inner tube with 451 Sky Blue, 452 Process Bleu, and 443 Turquoise markers. Again, start with the darkest color and end with the lightest.
Blend all three colors with a wet paint brush.
Color her swim cap and the accents on her bathing suit with 800 Baby Pink, 761 Carnation, and 703 Pink Rose markers.
Finally, color her hair with 942 Tan, 947 Burnt Sienna, and 969 Chocolate.
Now it’s your turn! Grab your favorite image and your Tombow Markers, and color your own masterpiece.
