Today we are welcoming Vika Salmina to our blog as an MFT Guest Designer.

Vika is a talented card maker from Ukraine. She’s been spotted on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration Blog several times, and we think you’ll like what she has to offer! Let’s take a look at Vika’s super cute cards featuring the Soak up the Fun stamp set from our August release.

Handmade card from Vika Salmina featuring Soak up the Fun stamp set and Die-namics, Cross-Stitch Circle STAX Die-namics, and Wave Background stamp #mftstamps

Vika’s clean and simple style plays well with the Soak up the Fun stamp set. She begins with our Wave Background to create a deep ocean in crisp white and blue. It’s the perfect background to complement her focal point.

The Cross-Stitch Circle STAX Die-namics features seaweed and the cutest whale EVER that have been stamped, die cut, and colored. You’ll notice that the whale and sentiment are popped up on foam tape for additional dimension. A few bubbles in blue are added to the circle (which is popped up on foam tape, too), and some black bubbles float in the waves for balance.

Vika’s second card takes us under the sea!

She began with a card stock panel to create a deep blue sea that goes from dark at the bottom to lighter at the top. She added detail to the bottom of the ocean with a black pen and added stamped, die cut, and colored seaweed waving in the water. Six colorful fish from the Soak up the Fun stamp set are popped up on foam tape to add depth to her design, and the little bubbles add the perfect finishing touch to her panel. The placement of the sentiment gives you the feeling that the fish are swimming in the depths. So much fun!

Thanks to Vika for sharing her wonderful cards with us today. She’ll be back with some great Halloween cards on September 1st! You won’t want to miss it.

Make sure to tag #mftstamps when you share on social media so we can see what you’re creating – maybe you’ll be spotted!
