Please join me in welcoming the incredibly talented Yana Smakula to the blog.
Hello MFT fans! This is Yana Smakula and I’m thrilled to be a guest here on MFT blog this month. I have two blog posts lined up for you with a bit of fun creative inspiration, so let’s get started!
Today I’d like to share a window card with two adorable kitties created using the Cool Cat stamp set along with the matching Die-namics and the Inside & Out Stitched Rounded Rectangle STAX and Stitched Strip Die-namics.
I am a cat lover and together with my hubby we have two of the most spoiled cats ever, they are both completely black (they are mother and daughter) and they usually spend their days laying in the sun planning their next mischief. So the inspiration for my card today comes from them.
Here I have two kitties on the window sill trying to get into a fish bowl. One has taken guard and the other one, usually the younger one, is trying to get the fish out of the tank. This card is interactive, and one of the kitties wiggles from left to right trying to get into the little aquarium.
Because this is also a window card, you can see the fish tank and the face of the kitty when you open the card. I love that the Cool Cat stamp set allows you to stamp the front and back of one of the cats, this really opens up a lot of options for interactive cards.
Where there are cats there are always some items broken and some liquids spilled, so I have a vase sitting on its side in front of one of the kitties ready to spill the water.
There are also a lot of paw prints on the card front, those were heat embossed in white over black and die cut using a matching die. I felt they were a nice addition to my card design.
Make sure to tag #mftstamps when you share on social media so we can see what you’re creating – maybe you’ll be spotted!
