There is a recipe in the current edition of Crafts ‘n Things for bath salts, and I thought that would make a perfect gift for teachers, and neighbors. Cheap, easy and easily mass produced by the whole family! I don’t want to publish the recipe because it is the authors intellectual property. The whole magazine is filled with good stuff, and lots of cuteness from some of MFT’s own as well, so it’s worth grabbing!
The first pic is one of the jars, just filled with the bath salts mix, before we’ve worked out alteration magic…
First, I used some CHEAP ribbon from Target, and cut it with my scalloped trimmer to add a little zing. Then we used Scor-Tape to adhere it. Have I mentioned how fabulous this tape is??
Then we used my purple circle punch to punch out white scraps, which exactly fit between the two lids of the ball jar. We stamped the top with some hearts and circles, and then used the Tis the Season set for the Naughty or Nice sentiment.
Here is a close up of the finished jar, isn’t it cute? I used my Cropadile to make a hole in the plastic bag of the candy cane, and then after tying my white ribbon around the jar, I put both strands through the candy cane and attached it upright on the jar.
This was seriously the easiest round of gifts I’ve ever made, and the cost (not including the stamps sets) ran about $35 for 15 gifts! Could it get any better???
