Feature Friday – Vanity License Plate
Happy Friday! I’m here to share a quick project using the Vanity License Plate Die-namics and Stamp Set. It’s great for quick cards, which you can personalize for just abut any occasion. Today I’ve got a card to share for what I consider to be the most difficult audiences, ‘tweener boys. They’re too old for a “cutesy” type card and where ‘tween boys are considered, I have to also leave out my frilly accents, like bows and scallops.
I’m using one of my favorite new cardstock colors, Gumdrop Green which I’ve paired with Whip Cream Cardstock, a Black Licorice Button and our new Hemp Cord. It’s a fun substitute for my normal, fun fluffy bows. I’ve grabbed my current favorite Die-namics, the Fishtail Flags STAX and went digging through my scrap bin for assorted pattern papers.
To get perfect placement every time, I like to line up my clean stamps on the die-cut beginning with the center position and moving out towards the edges. Then, I move just one letter at a time to the backside of the block, ink it, stamp it and then clean and remove it back to the other side of the block. I’ll then repeat for each letter, moving one letter at a time to the alternate side of the block, inking, stamping and then cleaning and moving over the next letter. HERE is a quick video showing how I would combine the stamps with the Vanity License Plate Die-namics.
My first sample today was for a ten year old boy, but I’ve got a few other samples to share from our Design Team showing other ways to use this stamp set, and a few other fun sentiment ideas.
Here’s a few more ideas, but I encourage you have fun playing around to make your own unique ideas too!
Thanks for joining us today, have a wonderful weekend and we’ll see you next week.
Remember, teasers for our October Release start on Wednesday!
