February’s Fabulous Friend – Karen Motz

Please give a warm welcome back to our Fabulous Friend Karen Motz. She’s here with her third, and final project for the month as our February Fabulous Friend, and she has whipped up something totally delicious to share with you.  Before I show you her stunning project, how about we get nosey?

What technique or style would you most like to develop in your own crafting?

“I really love the shabby chic/collage look but each time I try to do a project in that style it never turns out. But, I’m going to keep working at it, picking up shabby elements like the seam binding I’m seeing all over blog land, and hopefully one of these days I’ll have a shabby chic project to share!”

Karen has created a lunchbox recipe file using “What’s Cooking” as well as the Banner Strip Die-namic, the Rolled Rose Die-namic and the Small Scalloped Border Die-namic.

I adore all the thoughtful details that she’s put into this project including – mini clothespins…..

Ruffly ribbon, twine and this gorgeous felt flower….

Rhinestone swirls, and this sweet banner……

last, but not least of course her adorable coloring of our sweet a la modes “What’s Cooking?” and her signature perfect stitching on that oval panel?

We’ve been thrilled to have Karen with us this month as our special guest Fabulous Friend.  You’ll see her playing along with us each Wednesday as she’s part of our Wednesday Stamp Club.  If you’re not already following her blog Paper Playhouse, be sure to add her to your daily reading!
