In Perpetual Style

The year is coming to an end but you still have plenty of time to plan for 2014! Maybe one of your resolutions is to get a handle on the birthdays, anniversaries and other important events you like to recognize. Debbie Carriere has created this perpetual calendar that’s perfect for keeping track of your special events, year after year. The beauty of this project is how easy it is to customize. A basic construction ensures that it comes together quickly. Then, embellish to your heart’s content based on your aesthetic and time. DCarrierePerpetualCalendar Seal twelve A2 sized envelopes and trim each to 5 5/8″ long. DCarrierePerpetualCalendarA Apply scor-tape to the short, closed end of eleven of the trimmed envelopes. DCarrierePerpetualCalendarB Adhere the envelopes together in a stack as shown. DCarrierePerpetualCalendarC Cut two pieces of Whip Cream Card Stock measuring 4 1/2 x 11″ and 4 1/2 x 5 5/8.” Score the 11″ piece at 1 1/2″ 2″ 7 3/4″ and 8 1/4.” DCarrierePerpetualCalendarD Fold along the score lines. Apply scor-tape to the larger flap and attach the smaller piece of cut Whip Cream Card Stock. DCarrierePerpetualCalendarE Apply two pieces of scor-tape to the area between the 7 3/4″ and 8 1/4″ folds. Adhere the envelopes here to form the binding. Apply scor-tape and an adhesive magnet to the top envelope. DCarrierePerpetualCalendarF Remove the scor-tape liners and adhere the flap to the envelope. Place the second adhesive magnet on the small flap. Cut twelve pieces of Whip Cream Card Stock to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.” Stamp the notebook paper image from the LLD Journal It – Take Note in Steel Grey Ink. Re-position and stamp the image three more times to cover the entire panel. Repeat the stamping on the reverse side of each piece. Cut each panel using the 4 x 5 1/4″ Die-namics from Blueprints 6. DCarrierePerpetualCalendarG On the front and back of each card, stamp the numbers from LLD Journal It – Calendar Basics, in Razzle Berry Ink. Cut the months from the LLD Accent It – Months of the Year, from Steel Grey Card Stock. Attach each month to the appropriately dated card. Cut a tab from Razzle Berry Card Stock and adhere it to the back of each card ensuring that it doesn’t extend more than 1/4″ beyond the edge. DCarrierePerpetualCalendarI Embellish the front and back covers as desired and enclose each monthly card within an envelope. Sew a loop of Steel Grey Ribbon to a Razzle Berry Button and glue over the magnetic closure on the small flap. If desired, cut a Vertical Gift Card Pocket from card stock and attach to the inside back cover to store postage stamps.
