Creative Construction with Blueprints – A Stitch in Time
We love Blueprints because they take the guesswork out of crafting beautiful cards in quick fashion when we’re short on time or inspiration. We also love them for their versatility and ability to be mixed and matched when we have the time and inspiration to create something truly unique. Our Creative Construction Challenge focuses on these attributes each month, challenging the team to either assemble a card based on one of the provided Blueprints sketches or design an original card combining elements from the featured Blueprints.
Did you know you can find ALL of our printable Blueprints sketches in one spot? Our Printable Resources section over there in the sidebar is packed with handy reference materials including Blueprints.
We hear you – you love stitched elements. Die-namics that feature this hand-sewn detail are always a hit. Our line of Blueprints Die-namics includes an endless variety of stitches – from layering pieces to dynamic shaped borders, we’ve got a little bit of everything. This month, we’ve challenged our team to showcase innovative ways of incorporating stitched accents into their projects.
Julie used both Blueprints 2 and Blueprints 29 to create this super cute and funny card! Those little openings are great for cute images and sentiments like the ones from our Hog Heaven stamp set. And I love the jaunty angle of the focal point! So fun!
Blueprints 27 has lots of stitching and spots to fill with any matter of delightful sentiments and images. Torico found several lost shakers of salt and featured them in whimsical shaker squares in this fun design! The large rectangle from this set also features stitches around the perimeter along with sweet scallops.
We’re not done yet – keep on clicking to see how others on our team interpreted this month’s challenge.
