Check Your List Twice with This Christmas Planner

Did you remember to buy that scarf for your mother-in-law? How much vanilla was in that cookie recipe? And which day is the big gift exchange?

There are so many things to keep organized during the holidays, even the most efficient person could use a little bit of help. Spread some cheer as you check off your to-do list with this Christmas Planner!

This tutorial was created by Inge, one of our design team members, to help keep you rocking around the Christmas tree without forgetting a thing.

To start, cut two pieces of Primitive White Card Stock measuring 10 1/4” x 6 1/8”. Score both pieces at 4 3/4”- 5 1/2”.

Attach the pieces of card stock together in the middle using Scor-Tape.

Remove the front page of the notebook and cover the top of the pad with a small piece of Jellybean Green Card Stock. Wrap a length of Hemp Cord across the top of the notepad.  Then, attach the notebook to the base of Primitive White Card Stock.

Adhere one Kraft envelope to each side of the note pad. You’ll be able to use these to keep receipts, notes, recipe cards, and more!

Cut two pieces of Red Hot Card Stock measuring 5 3/4” x 1 1/2” and two pieces of Primitive White Card Stock measuring
5 3/4” x 1 1/4”.

Stamp the Textile Backgrounds with Jellybean Green Ink onto the strips of the Primitive White card stock and adhere onto the envelope. Stamp Hearts and Stitches using Hot Fudge Ink onto the flaps of the envelope. Punch four circles of Jellybean Green Card Stock using the ¾” punch.  Glue them on the envelopes and attach a brad through the center of each.  Create a closure using a bit of Hemp Cord and secure a bow.

Die-cut the Insert It – 3”x 4” from Sweet Tooth Card Stock seven times. Stamp the Journal It – Top Ten using Black Licorice Ink onto each of the die-cuts. Stamp titles using Document It – December with Red Hot and Jellybean Green Ink. Add coordinating matting using Red Hot and Jellybean Green Card Stock measuring 3 1/6” x 4 1/16”.

Add a burst of holiday cheer by decorating the front cover of the planner using Steel Blue Card Stock measuring 4 1/2”x 5 3/4”, Red Hot Card Stock measuring 4 1/4” x 5 1/2”, and Kraft Card Stock measuring 4” x 5 1/4”.

Stamp the Sheet Music Background using Kraft Ink onto Kraft Card Stock.

Die-cut the Insert It – 3”x 4” Insert from Sweet Tooth Card Stock and stamp Journal It – Top Ten using Black Licorice Ink.  Stamp “Christmas” using Jellybean Green Ink and create a mat for the 3×4 Insert using Jellybean Green Card Stock measuring 3 1/6” x 4 1/16”, and glue on the front.

Die-cut the Poinsettia Die-namics flower from Red Hot Card Stock and the leaves from Jellybean Green Card Stock.

Embellish the flower with a button, tied with a bit of Hemp Cord. Adhere the flower and a sentiment tag to the planner.

You’re all done! And with plenty of time to start making your list for the holidays. These cheery planners also make the perfect gift for friends and family feeling the holiday rush. Santa will be jealous that he doesn’t have one for his list, too!

What do you plan on using your planner for this season?
