Since we want to make things as easy as possible for you, here is our May Shopping List.

Since we know your wish list grows every month, we are offering the chance to win a $75 Prize for use in the MFT Online Boutique on each of our 7 Teaser Days.
  • You can enter to win by leaving a comment on each of the seven teaser posts on the MFT Blog before Noon TODAY.  Only one comment per person, per day, please.
  • One winner will be randomly selected from each day, and the winners will be announced TONIGHT at 8PM EST on the MFT Blog.
Today we are introducing the newest set in the Laina Lamb Design line, Document It – Right on Target.  You will enjoy the fun mixed-font sentiments and coordinating images in this set.

Our new Accent It – Feathers and Arrows Die-namics was made to coordinate with the new Document It – Right on Target stamp set. You can see a quick video featuring the Accent It – Feathers and Arrows Die-namics HERE, or simply click play below. Our new Insert It – 3×4 Notepad Die-namics has a notebook edge with functional perforation marks that can be easily torn like a real notepad. It coordinates perfectly with the previously released Journal It – For the Record, Journal It – Graph Paper Notes, and Journal It – Library Card. You can see a quick video featuring the Insert It – 3×4 Notepad Die-namics HERE, or simply click play below. Our last stamp set introduction today is the adorable new Pure Innocence Farmer Girl. The last of our new MIX-ables Stencils this month is the new Mini Chicken Wire Stencil. Paint, mist, spray, & more to create fun patterns on your cards and scrapbook pages. We’ve got one more new color that we’re adding to our Premium Dye Ink collection this month. Our new Berrylicious Premium Dye Ink will be available as a full-sized pad and as a refill during our May Release. The Premium Dye Ink and Refill will join the Berrylicious Replenishments that are already available in the MFT Boutique. As soon as I saw Document It – Right on Target I had this idea.  I LOVE how this card turned out!  It’s super simple, but just clever enough to make me smile.  Don’t you love it when that happens?  I used the Blueprints 3 square main panel to begin with (surprise!) and then matted it with Black Licorice and added them to a Kraft background.  I stamped the sentiment using our Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink.  I then cut a small shape from Heart STAX and stamped the image from Right on Target in Wild Cherry ink.   I cut the Kraft arrow into two pieces and attach half to the back of the heart, and half to the front of the heart, and then added a crystal on top of the attachment.  LOVE this card.  And hopefully the person I created it for will too! I hope you’ll enjoy hopping around the rest of our Designers blogs and see you TONIGHT for the RELEASE!

Up first today is the newest image in our Doodle Garden line, the ADORABLE Doodle Garden Turtle Girl. We have one more set to debut from Lisa Johnson Designs today, Cheerful Blessings. You will love the mix of fonts in this cheerful and uplifting sentiment set. The new Heirloom Label Die-namics is a great size for any of our larger sentiments, but also works perfectly as a layering element on your cards or projects. You can see a quick video featuring the Heirloom Label Die-namics HERE, or simply click play below. I’m back today with a card made using the new Heirloom Label Die-namics, Cheerful Blessings, Distressed Backgrounds, Dandelion Wishes, and of course, Blueprints 3. :-) I am seriously grabbing this new Blueprints for everything. At least I’m consistent! I wanted to create a soft background using Distressed Backgrounds, and created the effect by stamping off the image twice on scrap paper before stamping it on my Heirloom Label Die-namics using Lemon Drop ink. Then I stamped the dandelion in Lemon Drop full strength, and stamped the stem off on scrap paper once in Black Licorice before adding it to my main panel. Once everything was stamped, I traced each stem with my glue pen and added a dusting of iridescent glitter to make it *pop*. I followed one of the Blueprints 3 sketches, substituting in the Heirloom Label Die-namics for the main image panel.  Once everything was assembled, I added a few yellow crystals to finish it off.  I LOVE how it turned out.  Simple, yet elegant, and just waiting for the perfect person to gift it to. Thanks for joining us today, and don’t forget to leave a comment on the MFT Blog for a chance to win a $75 voucher. And you don’t want to miss what our talented designers have in store for you today either, so make sure to visit them and leave a little love! Let’s get started! Our first introduction today is the fantastic new set, Life’s Direction.

We’re thrilled over your enthusiasm for Mona Pendleton’s new line!  We have another set designed by Mona to introduce today called Distressed Background Blocks.  True to Mona’s mixed media style, these background blocks will give your cards and projects that mixed media look with minimal effort.

Our new Chicken Wire Die-namics layers perfectly on a standard A2 card for a big impact. Layer it over or under your card elements for a decorative accent.

You can see a quick video featuring the Chicken Wire Die-namics HERE, or simply click play below. Our new Happy Hellos Die-namics dies are large enough to take center stage on your projects, but work as an accent, also. You can see a quick video featuring the new Happy Hellos Die-namics HERE, or simply click play below. The next stencil in our brand new MIX-ables Stencil series is the fun Graduated Dots.

We’ve added new colors to our Premium Dye Ink collection this month. Our new Red Hot Premium Dye Ink will be available as a full-sized pad and as a refill during our May Release. The Premium Dye Ink and Refill will join the Red Hot Replenishments that are already available in the MFT Boutique.

I knew I liked Life’s Direction when Amy Rohl originally sent the set concept to Jody and I, but I didn’t realize how much I’d enjoy stamping with it! I’ve had so many ideas for this set, and haven’t even begun to scratch the surface. Today I’m sharing the first card I made using this set combined with Western Backgrounds and Fishtail Flags STAX. I made my own speckled paper by following the tutorial Joanne shows in THIS post. How fun! I started by stamping Western Backgrounds onto Whip Cream card stock using Kraft ink. It almost looks like it’s embossed, the detail is so rich. I cut the same size of Fishtail Flags in 3 different colored card stocks, and then stamped my images using Hot Fudge. I then speckled my paper using Hot Fudge ink as well. There was so much texture going on that I didn’t want to overdo it, but felt it needed a little something, so I added a row of mini brads, and a red star from Star STAX to pick up the red I’d used in the Flags. PERFECT. Make sure you visit our Designers blogs today, and leave a comment each day on this blog for a chance to win a $75 gift voucher. We could all use a little spending money, right?  Take a tour of these new products, being released on May 7th at 10 PM EST, by visiting our designers listed below. May Teaser Time – Day 2!

Welcome to the second day of Teaser Time for the My Favorite Things May Release!  We are thrilled to have you join us as we preview all of the new stamp sets and Die-namics that will be available on May 7th, at 10 PM EST in the MFT Boutique.

We are SO excited to introduce you to a new line of stamps and Die-namics, created by our very own Mona Pendleton. Mona has a style uniquely her own, embracing mixed media and more. It only makes sense that her products are described as Mixed Media for the Modern Crafter. We know you’ll adore her introductory stamp sets; Dandelion Wishes and Distressed Backgrounds. You’ll appreciate her companion Die-namics, Dandelion Stems and Toppers. BUT WAIT….there’s more! There’s even a brand new PRODUCT as well. We know you’ll be thrilled about our *new* MIX-ables Stencils. Paint, spray, mist, & more. And made in the USA, of course. Make sure you visit the Design Team Members blogs as they are previewing Mona’s new products, and remember to leave a comment on the MFT Blog once for each day of Teaser Time. $75 will go a long way in helping you fulfill your *growing* MFT wish list!

Up first today is Mona’s first set, the beautiful Dandelion Wishes. Made to coordinate with Dandelion Wishes, Mona has also designed the Dandelion Stems and Toppers Die-namics. You can see a quick video featuring Dandelion Stems and Toppers Die-namics HERE, or simply click play below: Our new Mini Album Square Scallop STAX features a straight edge on the left side for binding.  The straight edge also allows for coordination with the Mini Album Bracket STAX, giving you the ability to mix and match your mini album page shapes. You can see a quick video featuring the Mini Album Square Scallop STAX Die-namics HERE, or simply click play below: Our new Mix-able Stencils can be used with paints, sprays, mist, and more.  The beautiful stencil we are introducing today is called Square Motif.

Happy Thursday! I am so excited about the release of Mona’s products. Her work is beyond beautiful, and her new line of products are sure to speak to your inner artist. Many of Mona’s projects are mixed media, and always leave me inspired. I *really* want to delve more into this area, so I took a tiny, baby step and created a canvas project. Let me start by saying again that this is a TINY, BABY step. I am not particularly courageous…yet. I’d even be willing to say I am kind of a wimp and was so afraid to go overboard that I did the exact opposite. But yet, I love the finished project, and keep telling myself I did a good job of practicing the Rule of Thirds, and will happily leave it at that. :-) I started with an 8 x 10″ canvas and covered it with a trio of Gelatos colors. I hadn’t played with them before this project, but they are quite nifty! Once the canvas was colored and dried, I used my Distressed Background stamp set and covered it in Gelatos as well. I then misted it enough to get it wet and applied it to the canvas. When the stamping began, I made sure to support that back of the canvas to I could get a decent impression. Once the background was dry, I inked up the flower stems from Dandelion Wishes and stamped them in Jellybean Green. Yep, our premium dye ink worked beautifully! Then I stamped both of the dandelion blooms first in Sour Apple and then in Jellybean Green inks. There were a couple of spots that didn’t stamp as clearly as I’d like, so I went over those using a dry paintbrush and the premium inks to fill in the bare spots. After everything was completely dry, I felt the flower centers needed something so I added a pearlized center after having colored them with a violet Copic marker. I wanted a slight pop of a color that would complement the project, and I think the violet did just that. I hope you’re enjoying Teasers so far, and are looking forward to being inspired each day by our amazing Designers. Make sure to head to their blogs for more ideas using these beautiful products, and also make sure you leave a comment on the MFT Blog for a chance to win a $75 gift voucher. Are you ready?  Let’s get started! We’re starting our May Teasers with Peaceful Wildflowers from Lisa Johnson Designs. The silhouette floral images in this set are stunning, and the mixed font sentiments are beautiful. The new Wildflowers Die-namics, from Lisa Johnson Designs, was made to coordinate with the Peaceful Wildflowers stamp set. You can see a quick video featuring the Wildflowers Die-namics HERE or simply click play below: One of our newest Pure Innocence images making it’s debut today is the ADORABLE Pure Innocence Make a Wish. Here you can see and compare the range of colors in our Blue Replenishments line.

I’m so excited that Teaser Time has finally arrived! We have SO MUCH in store for you, starting with this beautiful new set by Lisa Johnson, Peaceful Wildflowers. Isn’t it lovely? I can see this becoming a go-to set anytime I need something that’s easy to work and produces stunning results. And of course I paired it with the newest addition to the Blueprints line, Blueprints 3. I LOVELOVELOVE this one! There are such cute little elements included, and the card itself makes a non-traditonal square shape, which is a nice change of pace. I tend to live in an A2 world… For my card, I decided to dabble in a little watercoloring, using our Blu Raspberry and Sour Apple ink pads. I stamped the flowers and stems on watercolor paper, and then after allowing a little drying time, went over the stems with a waterbrush to create a watercolored feel. I then took a dry paintbrush and added thin strips of Sour Apple ink along the sides to fill in the empty space. I think it added a soft, wispy look. Once the panel was completely dry, I used my glue pen to add dabs of glitter to various stems and in the center of each flower. I think it added a little pizzaz to an otherwise simple card, don’t you? Make sure you leave a comment on the MFT Blog each day of Teasers for a chance to win a daily prize of $75. That will surely help with your growing wish list! Now let’s see what our amazing Designers have created just for you… Take a tour of these new products, being released on May 7th at 10 PM EST, by visiting our designers listed below. And our May Guest Designers: Kim O’Connell and Tricia Traxler.

You can see  a quick video featuring the Scalloped Treat Box Die-namics HERE or simply click play below: The last of our new Premium Dye Ink colors to debut this release is Hot Fudge. It coordinates beautifully with the Hot Fudge Replenishments found in the MFT Boutique. Our Hot Fudge Premium Dye Ink will be available in a full-sized ink pad and as a refill during our new release on Tuesday April 9th at 10 PM EST. *Please note – this ink dries to a rich brown that matches our card stock perfectly. Here you can see and compare the range of colors in our Brown Replenishments line. I’m back today with a card I created using our new Bicycle Die-namics. I combined the Bicycle with Snow Drifts Die-namics and Skyline Border Die-namics to create a little scene. I cut the Skyline using a multi-colored patterned paper panel, and also used patterned paper with the Snow Drifts die as well to add a little interest. I wanted to tie in the stars in the patterned paper, so I cut a stitched panel from the new Blueprints 2, and added a few stars using a stamp in Hello My Name Is, in Sour Apple ink. Once all of the pieces for my scene were cut, I inked the edges of the grassy field since I wanted them to have a little dimension, and then I popped up the grassy field panels and the Bicycle. I hope you’re enjoying the Teasers this month, I know I am! Take a tour of these new products being released on April 9th at 10 PM EST by visiting our designers listed below.
