We are more than a little excited to have Jane Allen joining us at the MFT Boutique for a master class in the art of no-line coloring. Jane was one of our 2016 Card Design Superstars and is currently doing a monthly blog feature for us called Artistic Expression with Jane Allen. I think you’ll agree that she has a special talent!
Here’s a sample of some of her past work featuring an assortment of adorable MFT characters!
The schedule for each class day is as follows:
Morning Session – 9 AM – 12 PM
Lunch Break – 12 PM – 2 PM
Afternoon Session – 2 PM – 5 PM
During the morning session, Jane will be teaching us the basic techniques of no-line coloring. The afternoon session will culminate in the grand finale of implementing the techniques you’ve learned to create your very own masterpiece.
Each day of class will result in three finished cards, and will be identical in content. You simply need to register for the class day that best suits your schedule.
Your class fee of $75 will cover all supplies with the exception of the Copic markers listed below and your favorite stamp tools and adhesives.
Please bring the following Copic marker colors with you on class day:
G40, YG61, YG63, YG67, YG17, G94
W1, C0, C1, C2, C4, C6, C8
YR0000, YR000, Y15, YR15
E40, E41, E42, E43, E44
We will have a limited supply of the colors Jane will be using available for purchase.
PLEASE NOTE: Each class will accomodate a maximum of 30 students and we expect both classes to sell out quickly. There will be no kits or online component to this class – this technique-based lesson will only be available in person, during the class time listed. Classes must be pre-paid. Due to the limited seating availability and special nature of this event, no refunds will be given if you are not able to attend.
Updated March 20, 2017: Saturday, April 22nd registration is closed.

Love Is in the Air for Kids & Teachers
You’ll LOVE the projects we have today celebrating kids and teachers. If you create Valentine’s for these awesome people, today’s tutorial is just what you’re looking for!
To begin with, Stephanie created two ADORABLE treat wraps for candy that would be sweet to give to your kids or if you’re up to it, make some for an entire classroom of children. The Castle Die-namics is the basis for the wrap which she decorated with the English Brick Wall stencil, and she used images from the Knight in Shining Armor and Once upon a Time stamp sets to complete her fairytale scene.
Every year National Bird Day is celebrated on January 5th. It’s a day set aside to promote avian awareness and to spotlight and celebrate these beautiful feathered friends.
Here at My Favorite Things we have a soft spot for creatures of any kind, and we have a whole flock of pretty birdies to decorate your designs. Let’s take a look at some gorgeous projects featuring several types of birds:
The love birds from the All Heart stamp set look super “tweet” on this card from Barbara!
The Cheerful Cages Die-namics is a fun way to feature any of our bird stamps like Torico did on this design.
Guest designer Betsy Veldman featured the I’m Tweet on You stamp set in this cheery design. C’mon spring!
The Polynesian Paradise stamp set features bold tropical birds and flowers. Such a sunny design from Julie!
The Things with Wings stamp set features whimsical long-legged birdies like the ones Donna used to create this sweet card.
Our Tweet Friends stamp set includes five fanciful feathered friends. They sure are fun to color as spotlighted in this delightful design from Francine.
And what could be better than a flamboyance of pink flamingos? Inge goes all out with five preening flamingos die cut with our Flamingos Die-namics.
