Fab Friend Amy Rohl!

Yes, yes, I know….she’s been featured before BUT, now that she’s on the MFT Challenge Team, I wanted to spotlight our girls once again!

Before I show off Amy’s AMAZING project, let’s get nosy!  And guess what?  These are NEW nosy questions!

What is your biggest stamping regret?
That I don’t send out more of the cards that I create to those I love!

Who is your stamping crush?
Do I really have to go public with this information, I mean geesh, a girl needs to keep a few things to herself, right?! Actually, there are a few crushes that I have going, but it just depends what style I’m drawn to at the time. I have a “wish I could color with Copics and create a scene” crush on Leigh O’Brien; a “fresh and fun-shabby chic” crush on Betsy Veldman; and a “wish I could write a blog post like that” on Carole Burrage (not to mention her background creating skillz)!

What was your proudest stamping moment?
Hands down, my proudest stamping moment was seeing my work published for the first time in Papercrafts magazine. It was one of those “they really like me (my stuff)!” moments. I tend to doubt myself from time to time, so the validation factor really helps my self confidence.

Now check THIS out!  Amy used Candy Cane Kisses a la mode and the Oval Chain Die-namics die to create this STUNNER!

Fab Friend Keri Sereika!

Happy Monday!  I’m excited to have Keri join us today, she is one of the very first people who designed with MFT Stamps, and kind of introduced me to the role of Concept Designer!  When I think back to MFT’s beginnings, I am so completely amazed to be HERE. right now, with a flourishing Company.  I literally get teary eyed, and am truly filled with gratitude.

Before I show off Keri’s SUPER amazing project, let’s get nosy!

What is your signature move?  Is there one style or technique that seems to adorn your every creation?
I don’t think I have a signature move or style…yet somehow people seem to recognize my work – what do you think is my signature style? LOL

What’s your favorite MFT set and why?
I just love the new Clearly Sentimentals line. I know that is alot of sets but I just love words and I feel like you always need your card or project to “say” just the right thing, the more sentiments available the better I say!

Any funny stamping stories?  Glitter mishaps??  SPILL!
I once had a “glue malfunction”. I had tried out Scotch Quick Dry Tacky Adhesive. It’s a nice white glue that dries clear and holds WONDERFULLY! Well one day as I tried to apply some glue, nothing came out. So I looked at the tip of it and noticed a bit of dried glue stuck in the tip – just out of reach when poking it with a needle…sooooo I decided to squeeze the bottle until it came out. I was squeezing and squeezing when “POP!” off popped the top of the glue bottle, out shot glue EVERYWHERE. It was in my hair, on my face, on my shirt, on my jeans….yeah…that was fun times….

What do you hoard?
I don’t really hoard. I use it and then when I am done with it, I pass it on to someone who will use it more! :) My local scrapbook store (Charleston Scrapbooking) has a wonderful semi annual “yard sale” where we can all bring our “gently loved” product to find a new home…it’s a great way to get rid of product that just needs someone else’s magic creative touch.

Check out Keri’s wonderful project using Harvesting Who’s That Girl.  She used a DIGI paper pack and printed on the coffee filter that adorns the jar lid!

Please make sure to pop by Keri’s BLOG and tell her thanks so much for sharing her talent!

Fab Friend – Lord Have Mercy!

Mercy Kerin that is. And I <3 this sweet, sassy, Southern beauty!  I had the chance to meet her at CHA and she’s just precious!  Now, before I show off her amazing creation, let’s get nosy…

What is your signature move? Is there one style or technique that seems to adorn your every creation?
I am a paper piercer! I pierce the edges of at least one layer on every card I make.

What’s your favorite MFT set and why?
I love the Pure Innocence line!

Any funny stamping stories? Glitter mishaps?? SPILL!
I did spill a whole container of glitter onto my sweet Min-Pin…she was *sparkly* for days! LOL!

What do you hoard?

Oddly enough, I’m a card hoarder! I find it hard to send out the cards I make even though I started making my own cards to save money on store-bought ones! LOL!

Now check out THIS beauty!  I love Mercy’s take on Tea for Two.  The stitching, the textured floor, the ribbon/button treatment…  Sigh…

Please make sure you stop by Mercy’s BLOG and leave her some love!  There’s lots of inspiration to be found….

MFT’s Fabulous Friends – Carolyn King

Happy Monday to all!  I hope some of you are enjoying a LONG weekend!  Today I have a fun feature to share called MFT’s Fabulous Friends.  Our first Fabulous Friend is Carolyn King, aka Cammie aka Camster aka Craphead.  All spoken most lovingly of course!

I thought it would fun to ask a few questions of our Fabulous Friends and pick their brains a bit, so here’s what I came up with.

Q:  What is your signature move?  Is there one style or technique that seems to adorn your every creation?

Cammie:  Honestly, I am not sure I have one.  I tend to tire of one style of card so I change mine up a lot, depending on my mood.  I love CAS, detailed coloring and really detailed creations.  If I had to pick one thing that adorns MOST of my creations, I would have to say scallops.  Love em!

Q:  What’s your favorite MFT set and why?

Cammie:  My favorite MFT set has always been Boho Blossoms because it is very versatile and you can use it with so many other sets.  I love the Twisted Sentiments because they are craptacular!  But, I am really digging the new PI images too. Sigh! Indecision.

Q:  Any funny stamping stories?  Glitter mishaps??  SPILL!

Cammie:  Who me?  That stuff doesn’t happen to me.  I can assure you my every stamping experience has been a neat and tidy success (roll eyes!).  However, I will share that in my “early” days, I did walk around for the bulk of a day with a flower adorning my bum.  I must have sat on it in the morning and it STUCK with me all day. Gotta love good adhesive (wink!)

Now who’s ready to see what Cammie created?  I am!!!

Featuring You Make the Grade and AlphaDOTS Cammie created this SWEET little pail.  Don’t ya LOVE those gingham hearts??

Isn’t that delightful???  Sigh.  I can just imagine this pail filled with pencils and erasers and sharpeners and markers.  OR, filled with candies (especially truffles) or bath & body pampering items, the options are just endless!

Next up Cammie created this super sweet card using Grow Love and our Easter set, What’s Crackin’, that will be released Wednesday, Feb 17th (along with our VIP Kit).  I LOVE how she combined these two sets to create a spring card that is so fresh and fun!

You can visit Cammie on her BLOG and I hope you’ll pop over and leave some love for her, letting her know you think her Fabulous Friend projects are precious!
