With new challenges being added each day, you’ll surely find a few that inspire you. You can find the master list of challenges HERE. You can find answers to the most commonly asked questions HERE. Perhaps you’ll even win one of the prize packages! Who knows, it might even be one of the five $100 Shopping Sprees from MFT!

We’re honored to be a sponsor for this amazing event, and we hope you’ll join in and create a card (or two, or three, or more) in support of this event and the many patients that benefit from it.  We hope to see you there!

25 New Patterned Paper Packs and a Happy Birthday Hoot!

Hi all!  Let me say first, in all caps because I’m yelling from exctiement, I’M STAMPING AGAIN!  Boy oh boy, has it been a LONG time, and I’m so excited to have a little studio filled with crafty goodness to call my own.

First things first, you will be thrilled to know that we’ve just finished loading 25 new patterned paper packs into the store.  You can find them all HERE.  Jody and I decided it would be fun to have a selection of the *newest* papers available for you.  We will be adding new papers very frequently, but won’t be reordering as they sell out, so if there’s something you love, grab it while it’s in stock.

Now that you’re salivating over all that yumminess, I made a little card featuring the new MME Hootenanny 6×6 pad.

I played along with this weeks MFT Sketch Challenge, which you can find out about (and play along with!) right HERE.  I used the PI Owl Costume stamp set and the Award Seal Die-namics, along with Orange Fizz, Blue Raspberry, Hot Fudge, and Kraft card stock colors. Once I popped on my Orange Fizz Buttons, I was all set!

Last weekend Jody, Brianna, and I got to spend some time with Colleen Schaan taking the Copic Intermediate class and I’ve been itching to color all week long.  Here’s a little close-up of my Owl Costume girl.  She is SOOOO much fun to color!

Here’s one more close-up, at a different angle.

Thanks so much for joining me, and have an amazing Monday!

MD Anderson Cancer Center Pledge

In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness month, My Favorite Things is pledging a donation of $1500 to MD Anderson Cancer Center.

My Favorite Things recognizes that many of our customers and friends are touched by cancer and we want to offer our support.

We would like to share a story from one of our customers that touched us deeply, and called us to action.

Kim -

I have a question for you … let me put my question in perspective for you.  My sweet sister, Debbie had breast cancer 12 years ago and was only given a 30% chance to survive … she beat it .. and 10 years after her diagnosis we through a wonderful suprise “survivor” party for her.  A few short months after that celebration .. they determined she had cancer now in her bones.  She has been battling the disease for 2 years now .. we thought we had it licked again in November … clean scan and the works .. until 3 months ago.  It has now gone to her lungs.  We have been in the hospital for 3 months.  And I pray she is going to make it out of here and come home sometime soon.

My sister and I are both “super fans” of the pure innocence line.  Have you ever thought of a set with the PI girl holding a large ribbon?  The ribbon could be used for breast cancer and all of the other cancers out there.  Of course right now I have breast cancer on the brain.

Would you consider making one?  And not waiting until October (breast cancer awareness month) to release it.  I don’t think we have that much time.

Thanks for your consideration,

Kimberly

Debbie recently received news that her cancer is in remission!  Kimberly shared the news with us this week, and we are thrilled!

In addition to our fundraising efforts, we have partnered with Splitcoast Stampers as their sole Pink Sponsor during their Hope You Can Cling To campaign.

For October, we have created three stamp sets in support of those affected by cancer; Who’s that Girl Chooses Hope, a la modes Fight Like a Girl, and Pure Innocence Have Hope.

We are deeply saddened by the need for such stamp sets, but so touched that we are able to provide them.  We hope you’ll consider creating a card for one of the Hope You Can Cling To challenges and sending it to MD Anderson, where it will be appreciated by one of the many patients battling cancer.  Together, we can make a difference.

Teaser Time Day Three

Welcome to Day Three of our Teasers in preparation for our upcoming October Release! If you haven’t already done so, please add Tuesday, October 4th to your calendar! We’ll be partying over on the MFT Forum on Splitcoast Stampers from 8-10pm EST.  The doors to the Boutique will open at 10pm EST, and we hope to see you there!

Today’s the day that we’re talking all about our Triple Scoop Stamp Sets.  If you’re not familiar with our Triple Scoop Rewards Program, then here’s the deal!  Our Triple Scoop reward is a full-sized stamp set offered to you absolutely free with a qualifying purchase of $60 or greater (before shipping and tax).  The set changes with each monthly release, and is not yet available for individual purchase, so there is always a good reason to spoil yourself with MFT!  When placing your order, simply add the Triple Scoop product to your cart using the “add to cart” button, and it will be shipped with your order.

Please note: You must add the Triple Scoop product to your cart or it will not be included with your order.

Last month, our Triple Scoop Set was Clearly Sentimental About Family – and it will be available for sale on Tuesday night.   You’ll love that you can individually stamp in the word family in the font and color of your choice into any of the included sentiments for complete versatility….

Here’s a quick peek at the set in action….

Now, its time to take a peek at this month’s Triple Scoop Set
Clearly Sentimental About Abundance.

This 4×6 sized set includes six inspirational, affirmative
sentiments focused on the concept of Abundance.

Abundance is all about having a grateful heart
for the blessings we’ve been given.

I hope you’ll be moved by this beautiful set, so
let’s take a closer look at this month’s Triple Scoop Reward…..

Die-namics Preview:

Each day, we take a close look at one of the upcoming  Die-namics dies. Since we’re looking at the Clearly Sentimental sets today, I thought it was a great time to look at the Vintage Flourish Die-namic.

This will make a beautiful custom embellishment for any project, but I know that in particular, it will pair so nicely with those sentiment focused projects!  This is a beautiful die to add to your collection so that you have just the right piece when you want to add a decorative accent.

And it is so affordably priced, at only $2.95, you really just *should* bring it home with you on release night!

Teaser Time Prizes:

Don’t forget that we’re giving away two prizes for each preview day! You’ve got until about 7pm on Tuesday to submit all your comments for the week, the winners will be announced at or around 7:30pm – just before our New Release Party.

we host a Guest Designer Challenge

This month, we’re so pleased to welcome Linda McClain

The theme of this month’s challenge was Rip and Roll and here is her outstanding submission…..

Do you spy her tattered and ripped gingham ribbon?
What a bout the rolled paper edges….
be sure to click over to her blog Catered Crop
to see just how she created that effect!

In Linda’s signature style, she’s created a complete gift set…..

We look forward to Linda’s creations this month for our
Wednesday Stamp Club sketches

Of course, you’ll see her participating with our designers as part of
October Teaser Time for our next release.

Congratulations Linda!
