Christmas in July with My Favorite Things

Welcome to the My Favorite Things Design Team Creative Challenge.  Each month, we challenge our designer to work within a specific theme, or using a particular technique.  This month, we’ve asked our designers to get a head start on the holiday season with a little Christmas in July.

If you give handmade cards, or create home made gifts, this is a great opportunity to get the creative wheels spinning, and stock up on supplies in advance.  For instance, you can swing by Barbara’s blog to see more about this beautiful gift box and card.

Frame It with My Favorite Things

Our Design Team Creative Challenge is a monthly feature, where we challenge our design team to explore their creative side using a specific theme, product or technique.

This month, we’ve asked the designers to Frame It! We know that you all have beautiful collections of stamps and Die-namics, so why not put them to work to create framed pieces for your own walls, or gorgeous gifts for friends and family? Be sure to see the bottom of this post for links to all the designers who have put their MFT stamps and/or Die-namics dies to work to create a framed piece of art for you.

Jody has created a beautiful welcome frame and matching gift tag with the Homespun Birdhouse Die-namics and Stamp Set.

October DesignTeam Creative Challenge

Each month, the MFT Design Team takes on a specific technique or project theme…. today we’ve asked the girls to “Get Negative.”  Don’t worry, they’re not changing their otherwise sunny dispositions… they’re going to illustrate fun projects designed utilizing the “negative space” created when you use a Die-namics die!

For example, take a look at this fun project from Karen, featuring the use of the Flat Bottom Cloud Die-namics, File Tab Die-namics and Pumpkin Patch Pure Innocence.

This is a great way to let your Die-namics do double duty.  You can use the Die-cut shape and then make a second project using the leftovers!  I love being able to make your crafty investments work hard for you!

The following designers have accepted the challenge and have samples for you today…
