Handmade card from Karolyn Loncon featuring Kind Words stamp set and Stitched Heart Grid, Stitched Fishtail Frames, and Blueprints 25 Die-namics #mftstamps

Karolyn created an eye-catching and colorful card with our new Stitched Heart Grid Die-namics and a sentiment from the Kind Words stamp set.

The cool new Stitched Heart Grid Die-namics gives you so many options! Karolyn die cut the hearts from a colorful panel to create her interesting grid of hearts. The stitch lines that come with this Die-namics gives her design delightful detail. She finished off the card with a simple sentiment and dots in basic black to allow the hearts to shine.

The cute new Knight in Shining Armor and Once upon a Time stamp sets stole the hearts of many of you during our January release. What could be more fun than creating your own fairytale?

Creative Construction with Blueprints – Shaking Things up with Blueprints

MFT_CreativeConstruction_SideBar

We love Blueprints because they take the guesswork out of crafting beautiful cards (and tags!) in quick fashion when we’re short on time or inspiration. We also love them for their versatility and ability to be mixed and matched when we have the time and inspiration to create something truly unique. Our Creative Construction Challenge focuses on these attributes each month, challenging the team to either assemble a card based on one of the provided Blueprints sketches or design an original design combining elements from the featured Blueprints.

Did you know you can find ALL of our printable Blueprints sketches in one spot? Our Printable Resources section over there in the sidebar is packed with handy reference materials including Blueprints.

Everyone loves a shaker card, right? So many of the elements included in Blueprints provide easy and innovative means of creating these delightful little interactive looks. Our team has been busy exploring different ways of incorporating Blueprints into their shaker cards and we can’t wait to share their ideas with you!

Handmade tags from Vika Salmina featuring Merry Everything stamp set, Oh Christmas Trees and Blueprints 13 Die-namics #mftstamps

Vika created some super pretty and quick shaker tags using one of the tag elements from Blueprints 13. She cut two tags and used one of the Oh Christmas Trees Die-namics to create an opening in one to allow the sequins to be seen. Pin this idea to use for Christmas 2017!

Handmade card from Anna Kossakovskaya featuring Birdie Brown Beast Friends stamp set and Die-namics, Snowfall Background stamp, and Blueprints 29 #mftstamps

Anna’s SUPER cute shaker card was created with the help of Blueprints 29. She created a colorful background using the Snowfall Background stamp and featured a cute yeti from the Beast Friends stamp set. Her shaker consists of the main frame from Blueprints 29, and her sequins match the pretty background. Perfection!

Many of our Blueprints include simple word elements that speak volumes, and this month, we’re sharing ideas for integrating them into your own crafting.

Handmade card from Francine Vuillème featuring Harvest Buddies and Birdie Brown Cool Day and stamp sets and Die-namics and Blueprints 11 Die-namics #mftstamps

Blueprints 11 includes lots of fun words! Francine made the you rock sentiment (which comes on a curve like that) look like it’s sitting atop a snowbank by cutting it out of white card stock. Paired with polka dots and one adorable bear from the Cool Day set — this card is just too cute for words!

Handmade tags from Vika Salmina featuring Merry Everything stamp set and Die-namics, Diagonal Stripes Background and Tiny Stars Background stamps, and Tag Builder Blueprints 6 Die-namics #mftstamps

Squares and rectangles are pleasing to the eye and lend an orderly feel to your cards but unexpected shapes add energy and excitement! From angled panels and wonky shapes to curves, waves, and special forms – Blueprints provides the perfect solution to any design dilemma. Check out how our designers featured these unique elements in this month’s Creative Construction with Blueprints challenge.

Handmade card from Barbara Anders featuring Blueprints 18 and Pretty Posies #mftstamps

The angled panel included in Blueprints 18 is a positively elegant edition to Barbara’s Pretty Posies arrangement – especially with the gorgeous texture she’s added with the Scattered Bars Stencil! Her white embossing on vellum adds even more texture and depth.

Handmade card from Torico featuring Blueprints 9 and Hog Heaven #mftstamps

Blueprints 9 features a large tag shape and a scaled edge piece. Torico has combined them to create this sweet little house for her three piggies. You can huff and puff but you won’t blow this card down!

ALSO, today we’d like to introduce our newest member of the MFT family. We fell in love with Vika‘s style as she guest designed for us last month and fortunately for us, she accepted our offer to join our Creative Team. You’ll be seeing a lot more of her beautiful creations as we begin our October Release Countdown beginning Friday so stay tuned! Welcome, Vika!

Handmade card from Yoonsun Hur featuring Llama Love #mftstamps

Yoonsun took our new Llama Love stamp set and Die-namics right into the holiday season by pairing with a sentiment from Gift Tag Greetings and a well-placed jingle bell.

There’s no need to relegate your seasonal crafting to only those products that scream Christmas – think outside the box to see how you can stretch your products into year-round applications!

Handmade card from Anna Kossokovskaya featuring Pure Innocence Jumping with Joy #mftstamps

Are you noticing a theme? Anna also took one of our September Release products – in this case, the Pure Innocence Jumping with Joy – and used it to create a winter card.

This image was intended to be jumping in the air but Anna completely reimagined her to be laying in the snow creating a snow angel – it’s all about perspective!

Blueprints feature many innovative designs that make it so easy to add interest to your projects without a lot of unnecessary effort. Frames that feature multiple openings allow you to compartmentalize and feature numerous images and sentiments without the monotony involved in aligning a variety of dies. This month, we’re shining a spotlight on Blueprints that include these fantastic elements — Blueprints 2, Blueprints, 20, Blueprints 27, and Blueprints 29.

Handmade card from Torico featuring Distressed Patterns stamp set, Birdie Brown Harvest Mouse stamp set and Die-namics, and Blueprints 27 mftstamps

Torico’s homey card featuring our Harvest Mouse stamp set oozes fall charm! With the help of Blueprints 27, she showcases harvest produce and colorful leaves in the three openings at the top of the main frame die. That leaves the larger opening for the sweet sentiment and a cozy mouse. Add a button, twine, and gingham, and this design is like a wonderful bowl of soup on a chilly fall day.

Handmade card from Inge Groot featuring Flashy Florals and I’m Tweet on You stamp sets and Die-namics, and Thanks & Hello and Blueprints 29 Die-namics #mftstamps

The frames featured in our Blueprints sets are exceptional for creating shaker cards quickly. The openings show the pretty elements inside the shaker, but the frame edges give you spots to hide your adhesive. Inge uses the cross section of the frame from Blueprints 29 as a spot to gather flowers from the Flashy Florals stamp set, and the sentiment rests on the horizontal bar of the frame for a well proportioned design.
