It’s time to do a check in on Color Palette Challenge 10 projects!

Safety Orange, Brick Red, Olive, and Hot Fudge are pretty much the official colors of autumn around many parts of the world. This combination manages to be both bold and cozy all wrapped into one. Let’s see where this palette takes your next project. Have fun with it and make something beautiful.

Hot Fudge is the perfect choice for a Grande cup of joe. The new Coffee Cup Die-namics and Perk Up stamp set were used to create the focal point of Cindy’s card while the remaining trio of colors are stamped and layered to create a rich and dimensional look.

Where one is good, three are better! Julie planted an orchard full of thriving trees die cut with the Out on a Limb Die-namics adding some cozy texture to the leaves with the Burlap Background.

Sharon took the color palette and switched it up by being inspired by the color quartet but not married to it - and that’s OK! The goal of each challenge is to get you thinking about color and then, make something awesome. That’s a goal Sharon has absolutely met in this sweet card featuring the Christmas Banner stamp set and Die-namics.

Cindy went with tone-on-tone Steel Grey using the Proof Positive Cover-Up to create depth and texture. The Out on a Limb Die-namics provides a perfect vehicle for incorporating the rest of the palette.

Jackie chose a Sweet Tooth backdrop to ground the colors in this month’s palette. The Factory Green is just right for adding leaves to the die-cut Wild Cherry flowers from Blueprints 19 while Steel Blue buttons act as ideal flower centers and provide fantastic balance to the sentiment strip.

MFTWSC192 You and Me[3]

Jodi’s design is predominantly Steel Blue allowing pops of the remaining colors to truly shine. Using the Polka Dot Cover-Up to emboss the background is a great way to add texture.

Full of dimension,  Barbara’s design features the Autumn Wreath Die-namics, which is kind of perfect for the season, in the full gamut of the September palette. A simple sentiment banner is an elegant finishing touch.

Color Palette Challenge Review

It’s time to do a check in on Color Palette Challenge 8 projects. We’re thinking ahead to autumn and more subdued colors with this month’s palette. Kraft, Orange Fizz, Fuse Green, and Nightshift Blue combine to work as a non-traditional Halloween scheme or a gender-neutral combo appropriate for any number of occasions. Dominant Kraft or Nightshift Blue provides a neutral base for pops of Orange Fizz and Fuse Green or, go crazy relying on some of the more vibrant colors in the mix to prevail.

Sharon started with a Nightshift Blue Card Stock Base and then layered on some tone-on-tone elements. The sentiment, from the Spotlight Sentiments stamp set, is balanced by a Panel cut with Blueprints 18 and “watercolored” with Fuse Green, Nightshift Blue, and Orange Fizz Premium Dye Inks using the Jumbo Polka Dot Stencil.

Lisa’s card features card stock, Sheer Sparkle Glitter Glaze, and the Geek Is Chic stamp set and Geek Is Chic Glasses Die-namics from Laina Lamb Design - that’s it! And it’s fabulous! Stamping the glasses image in the full complement of this month’s color palette results in the coolest patterned paper.

Tone-on-tone stamping in Orange Fizz and Fuse Green provides the subtlety while Nightshift Blue on Kraft provides the *pop* on Julie’s fun card! The die-cut panels from Blueprints 18 make an appearance again here.

Sharon’s card features groovy ghosts populating the Square Grid Cover-Up Die-namics. The Spooky Scene Die-namics features a trio of ghoulish goblins for maximum design options. A phrase from the Spooky Sentiments set completes the look.

Color Palette Challenge Review

It’s time to do a check in on Color Palette Challenge 7 projects. Sno Cone, Banana Split, Blu Raspberry, and Tangy Orange is an eye-catching combination that will work wonderfully for summer themed projects as well as all-occasion cards. It’s a divine choice for birthday cards too which just so happens to fit in quite nicely with the party theme of our July release. Let’s see how our designers chose to dip into this palette!

Sharon’s version of this month’s palette features lots of color. From the base of her card to her die-cut flag and sentiment, she didn’t shy away. I love how she used the File Folder Edges Die-namics to create that shaped panel as well!

6a00d8341c585053ef01a511dbb87b970c-450wi

Lisa started with a Smooth White Card Stock base and layered on color with the incredibly fun new Confetti Background for her card. The Celebrate You stamp set and Die-namics  is perfect for birthday cards but you’ll grab it for lots of other occasions as well!

Banana Split shines in Amy’s inspiring card and tag. The Grid Stencil is such a fun way of adding color and texture to your projects.

Jody went painterly by adding beautiful washes of color over a panel stamped with the new Happy Birthday Background. She included  additional layers of color by cutting her Happy Die-namics from 4 different colors and adhering them together – such a fun surprise!

Color Palette Challenge Review

It’s time to do a check in on Color Palette Challenge 6 projects. This month’s palette of Natural, Sweet Tooth, Spearmint, and Nightshift Blue includes a range of colors from light to dark that allows you to create vastly different looks by simply switching up the dominant and accent colors. Let’s see how our designers chose to dip into this palette!

6a00d834eaf91453ef01a3fd17de39970b-800wi

A hearty dose of Nightshift Blue, grounded by a thin white border, allows the Spearmint die cuts to to shine on Cindy’s card. How could your recipient not smile after reading that sassy sentiment?

DCarriereSmile

Debbie and Cindy took similar routes design-wise – both choosing a stamped patterned background and matching placement of the TRANSFORM-ables Smile Die-namics, but the difference is evident in their choice of dominant color.

JUNE MFT Dad

We’re simply loving all of the fun ways the Peek-a-Boo Alphabet Uppercase Die-namics are being put to use! Those pierced holes are perfect for adding some texture with a little stitching. You’ll notice that each of our three designers thus far have went with a different base color and all three look amazing!

6a00d83451b90869e201a73dd4e856970d-550wi

Sharon went with a neutral base as well. Mixing in a few of the new June release products – Sending Big Hugs, You Mean the World to Me, Ampersand, and Pierced Fishtail Flags STAX, she achieved a sweet design perfect for so many different recipients.
