You Could Be a Card Design Superstar Card Contest!

Card Design Superstar We are thrilled, excited, and downright STOKED to introduce to you a fantastic opportunity — the chance for YOU to be named a Card Design Superstar! Yes, we’re hosting a card contest, and we can’t WAIT to see what you make!

I don’t know about you, but after last night’s release of our September products, I am beyond inspired! It just feels like the perfect time of year to get creative.

You may remember that at the end of session three of  MFT Summer School we hinted at a fun way to put all of your knowledge to use, and now is your chance to SHINE!

What’s in it for YOU? Oh, to begin with there will be prizes. Like over $200 worth of goodies that can be yours from My Favorite Things of course, but also from our contest sponsors: Sizzix, Pretty Pink Posh, Simple Stories, Hazel & Ruby, Xyron, and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. We’ll be awarding all of this to TEN winners! Check it out!

Card Design Superstar Sponsors

So, you’re probably wondering how this will work. Let me give you the details:
  • Create brand new/original cards using any theme you like. Previously posted cards will not be considered.
  • Maximum number of entries per participant is five (5).
  • Use stamps and Die-namics from My Favorite Things.
  • Submit your card(s) to the InLinkz link at the end of this post on or before midnight EDT on Friday, September 18th.
  • When submitting your card, please simply use your name in the Link Title section.
  • International entries are most DEFINITELY welcome!

I have been wanting to participate in something like this for so long! Unfortunately, I couldn’t perfect my “masterpieces” in time to meet the deadline, & I am thoroughly devastated. I wish all the talented participants luck, & thank you for the challenge. I hope whole-heartedly that a similar opportunity will come again in the future. XO

    Hello,

I tried to upload 2 cards to this contest before the cutoff time on 9/18 — it says I have 3 hr 28 min until they close, but when I submit them they say they are already there, but I don’t see them posted. I would really like my cards to be considered. Please help,

Kirstyn – please try again. You don’t actually upload your card, you simply add a link to where it is on your blog or Flickr or online gallery.

Just received my happy mail from MFT – glad it’s in time for the contest! Have been eyeing on many of your lovely stamps and dies for the longest time but you can hardly find any retailer that sells them here in NZ. Winning a MFT gift card last month was just perfect timing as it takes a great deal off shipping costs. Yay!

This might seem like a silly question, but you’ve stated a couple times as long as you use “MFT stamps and Die-namics”, but does that mean I have to use dies AND stamps on a card to qualify, or as long as I use either dies OR stamps? 🙂

    • My Favorite Things

      |

Great question, Nancy! It can definitely be one or both. You could make an all die cut card or an all stamped card or combine the two in one card.

I have to write this comment cause I agree with a fellow commentator Kristina who just wrote how this is a great opportunity for all the folks in the USA. I have only one stamp from you and that was a gift from a US fellow crafter who was so kind to me and sent me her old and even new staff so I can enjoy myself as much as you all guys do. Am sorry to say that I have tried several times to make an order but transport costs killed every joy and for someone whose life standard is way way low buying a peek a boo die means a world but it also means saving few months to get it. I applaude this great giveaway and am already jealous of all the winners, good luck to all! Just wanted to express my opinion! Still one of my favourite brands! Guys in DT make miracle cards 🙂

Hi Maja! Like I told Kristina below, we wanted to let you know that this contest is open to absolutely anyone who wants to participate! We ship worldwide and have many retailers who carry our products and also ship worldwide. We have shipping discounts and options to suit every crafter. We are known for our fast and reliable shipping and only charge actual shipping cost. Many of our DT members live out of the US, and they always comment on how quickly their shipments arrive!

I’m not in USA too? and the only problem is – shipping time! Worry don’t get new supplies in time… And about shipping cost – I ordered two times, if your order total is $100 with two discounts the shipping cost will be $1-2! As site says for internationals: “All orders over $75 will receive a $6.50 shipping credit, automatically applied to your shopping cart”. And if you buy for $100, you can apply coupon for 10% discount. If $100 is too expensive for you (and it really is I know!) you can ask some girls in your city/country if they want to purchase too and make one order for 2-4 ladies.

Hello, I don’t think, the issue are the shipping costs, but the custom duty that the international customers have to pay. I’m a lucky one to have a friend in the USA, so I collect more of the amazing products, and after some months, my friend send me everything together and mark my parcel as a gift. That’s the only way how to avoid the expensive custom duties. I can purchase also some of the MFT products in Europe, but unfortunately, the stores don’t carry all of them and it takes pretty long time to get the new release (two months later after the release). So actually, I can use the summer or fall stamps at first in winter. Maybe, you could consider to open an online store in Germany/Switzerland/Czech Republic – I’m a volunteer to sell your products 🙂

Guess my stamps got stuck in the customs, or something, because they didn’t make it here in time. 🙁
I am a bit sad, because I was hoping to join this fun contest. Not that I feel I would have stood much of a chance because WOW, the entries!! You have your work cut out for you, judging that (good luck to you all) but it would have been so much fun, with the lessons fresh in mind and all.
Anywaaaay what I am trying to say here is: I hope hope hope that maybe you will do a contest like this again some time – because then my stamps MUST have arrived! 😉
