Butterfly Hi

Print

Hello friends! I’m back again today with a fun summertime card using the new Flutter of Butterflies – Lace Die-namics.

Handmade card from Karen Giron featuring the Flutter of Butterflies - Lace Die-namics.

I love the different sizes and patterns this Die-namics set offers and I thought this particular butterfly would work fantastic as a Monarch. To create this look, I cut out the butterfly in Black Licorice, Persimmon, Orange Fizz, and Smooth White card stock and then paper pieced all the colors into place. To keep all the colors in place, I added some clear tape to the back of the black butterfly frame, which gave me a sticky surface to add the inside pieces. You could also use the Flutter of Butterflies  – Solid Die-namics in Black Licorice underneath for a nice solid card stock base.

The sentiment is one of the Happy Hello Die-namics, which I cut out in Smooth White card stock and I looped it around the butterfly and adhered it to the flower with Glossy Accents. I created the flower background with various sizes of the Plentiful Petal Die-namics set in Lemon Drop card stock, and then added some inky accents with the Abstract Art stamp set. Those little ink splatters are a fabulous way to fill in empty spaces!

It has been great being a guest designer this past week! Have a fantastic day.
